Kandi Burruss dealt with several personal issues on Season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kandi sent her eldest daughter, Riley Burruss, off to college even though Riley has no idea how to clean. RHOA viewers watched Riley grow up on our television screens.
Kandi decided to go after Riley’s father, Russell “Block” Spencer, for unpaid child support. Riley and Kandi feel that Riley is entitled to the money that Block owes her. I totally agree.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is gearing up for the most epic second season ever, thanks to the mess that is Jen Shah. She’s taking cues from Teresa Giudice in more ways than one, including facing federal fraud and money laundering charges. The allegations are that Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith were part of a telemarketing scheme that targets the elderly, and could face up to 30 years in prison. This is after she spent all of Season One showing off her outrageous wealth and spending. 30 years is a long time without glam. Or spa treatments. Or Coach Shah pep talks.
But in true Jen fashion, she is avoiding responsibility by pleading not guilty and defending her innocence in tone-deaf Instagram posts. Bravo promises to show fans as much as they legally can about the drama. The cameras were there the day Jen went to the courthouse donning a furry jacket and leopard heel boots in true Disney villain fashion. And while Andy Cohen is “praying” the allegations aren’t true, other housewives are throwing in their two cents, saying Jen is pretty dumb for signing up for a reality show if she had all of this going on. That really hasn’t worked out well for anyone — just look at what’s happening with Erika Jayne.
Ever since Andy Cohen announced a special episode of Watch What Happens Live featuring the kids of Housewives, there’s been drama. The show will feature Brielle Biermann, Riley Burruss, Noelle Robinson and Kairo Whitfield from the Real Housewives of Atlanta; Frankie Catania, Gia Giudice and Albie & Chris Manzo from the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Also, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Briana Culberson and Shane Keough and Real Housewives of New York’s Victoria de Lesseps and Avery Singer will be thrown in the mix. And last but not least, newbie Brooks Marks from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City will be there too. So there’s definitely a variety of old and new, with plenty of OGs making a return.
But apparently, some of the wives were not happy that their kids were left off the list and made a call to Daddy Andy to complain. Andy said it was someone with daughters, which removes NeNe Leakes from the suspect list (even though she would’ve been a good contender). It was a bit of a red flag that no Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kids were featured, but Lisa Rinna totally owned it and admitted it wasn’t her calling the network. We know that her daughters Amelia Gray and Delilah Belle Hamlin are busy working on becoming the next Kardashians anyway.
We are living in a world without Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson on our televisions. Gone are the days of peeing on someone’s bed. Screaming about threesomes in snow-covered mountains are mere memories. And waxing poetic about the necessity of properly fueled love tanks is in the past. Pause for brief wave of nausea… Yes, Vicki is gone, but she certainly isn’t forgotten – because she won’t let us forget her.
Last time Vicki was featured on RHOC, she had been demoted to a “friend of” the cast. Though to be fair, Vicki really isn’t much of a friend to anyone. Rumors buzzed there was an #ultimatumbybravo implying Vickster had to get engaged to avoid being tossed to the cornfield a la Peggy Sulahain. In 2019 Steve Lodge, Vicki’s paramour, bit the bullet and asked for Vicki’s hand in marriage after 3 years of dating. Here we are, in 2021, and Vicki is still not Mrs.
Chavez Lodge. People have speculated Steve packed his bags and escaped left Vicki, but she says it’s not true. Recently Vicki’s PR the streets were whispering Vicki got herself a younger man. Now Vicki does what she does best, denies it.
You don’t have to be a member of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City or a celebrity in general to question what Jen Shah was doing on reality TV. As per official court documents, Jen was accused of running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. Was she aware of her involvement in alleged illegal dealings? It’s necessary to note that nothing has been proven at this time, and Jen pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Jen either unwittingly put herself in a more precarious situation, or some level of narcissism had her feeling invincible. Either way, everyone in the Real Housewives circuit has an opinion, and some alums are coming out of the wood-work to share theirs.
Meghan King Edmonds is gone but not forgotten. You all know how I loved her on Real Housewives of Orange County and I stand by that opinion. *Insert Tamra Judge yelling “It’s my opinion!” gif*. Anyway, aside from a quick appearance, Meghan has been off RHOC for years now. But she stays in the news just like any current housewife would.
After the never-ending nasty divorce from ex-husband Jim Edmonds, a/k/a, Jimmy Dad Jeans, she found love again. Seems like she was getting her chaotic life back in order but she got coronavirus and split with her man. All in a matter of a few months. But she did find someone new (again) and said she might be relocating back to her hometown of St. Louis. That doesn’t mean the former housewife doesn’t miss her old life, minus a few ex-castmates.
On the bright side, we haven’t been inundated with media featuring the extraness of Braunwyn Windham-Burke in a few weeks. It might be fair to say we all needed a reprieve from her… “antics”. Now that time has come to an end because the Real Housewives of Orange County star is back in the news. I know you’re probably thinking, “what has ‘ol Braunie done this time?” She’s already taken every existing storyline possible and condensed them into one season.
Braunwyn admitted to being an alcoholic and struggled with sobriety on camera. She also came out as a lesbian but did not want to end her twenty-year marriage with husband and statement necklace aficionado, Sean Burke. Braunwyn and Sean remain married, despite Braunwyn not being attracted to men. She even went so far as to say she didn’t want Sean to start dating other women. Speaking of other women, Braunwyn went and got herself a girlfriend, Kris. After five months of pap shots and trying to make a courtship within a marriage work, it seems like Kris has jumped ship.
Veteran Bravo viewers are familiar with former Real Housewives of Orange County star Jeana Keough’s children. Shane Keough attempted to “find his way” during his teen years. Like his father Matt Keough, Shane was striving to make baseball a part of his career, but his sass mouth was what got him attention on the show. Fans will be able to catch up with Shane when he visits Andy Cohen for the Watch What Happens Live special featuring Bravo kids.
Jeana also had another son, Colton Keough. Colton was “the shy one” who also hoped to follow in his dad’s footsteps. Jeana’s only daughter Kara Keough was a smart, level headed volleyball player who didn’t go the way of other RHOC daughters. Kara went to college and eventually got married to former NFL linebacker, Kyle Bosworth. Together they share a little girl, Decker and were set to welcome a son in April 2020. A heartbreaking loss was suffered after the baby lost oxygen during the birth, changing Kara and Kyle’s life forever. But Kara’s story does not end there, she just added another chapter.
