Real Housewives of Potomac literally is life. The ultimate remedy to the Sunday Scaries. And one of the only Real Housewives cities that I tend to watch each episode at least twice in the same week because I just can’t get enough. The ladies of Potomac are truly the Grand Dames of Bravo and it’s only getting better every season.
This season of RHOP is highly anticipated for several reasons, one being we’re finally getting past the infamous fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard-Bassett. Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo seemingly go head-to-head thanks to none other but the chatter on the streets of Potomac. Karen Huger has a new sidekick Mia Thornton who’s a shady and chaotic new addition. And whether you agree or not, Robyn Dixon and Ashley Darby are the messy side characters I need in every episode.
The Real Housewives of Potomac is off to the races. Season six of RHOP has wasted no time in showing other franchises what’s up. This how you move on from a season riddled with trouble and deep divides. Rather than rehashing the Monique Samuels drama of yester-year in lieu of focusing on their own issues, these Potomac women are bringing some fresh intrigue to our lives. Specifically, Wendy Osefo and Mia Thornton are taking it to the next level.
While Karen Huger has hinted at a reconciliation with Candiace Dillard, she may have spoken too soon. Unfortunately, Karen seems to be taking the easy route this season. She’s basically focusing on her vow renewal to Ray Huger. With the women, her MO seems to be drumming up Gizelle Bryant’s side-comments from seasons-past.
The Real Housewives of Potomac is truly a one-of-a-kind show. The ladies will be sitting around, having a kiki and it will turn into a shade-throwing battle at the snap of a finger. We’ve seen it between Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger nearly every episode. Or Candiace Dillard-Bassett and Ashley Darby in the infamous butter knife incident. Potomac is a top-tier city because it’s a genuine drama between real friends. And even newbie Mia Thornton is fitting right into the mold, with her best bud the Grande Dame by her side.
Mia’s jumped right into the drama, getting into it with the new and improved Wendy Osefo. Mia’s been messy, but Zen Wen isn’t exactly keeping the peace either in her attempts to defend Gizzy. And it got even worse at the spa trip that was meant to keep the peace. Mia’s hinted that she gets into it the most with Wendy and CandeePants, so we’ll have to wait and see what caused the major food fight hinted in the RHOP trailer.
If you aren’t watching Season 6 of Real Housewives of Potomac, then you are missing out. Mia Thornton may be the newbie on RHOP, but she is bringing it. And her co-star, Wendy Osefo, isn’t a fan of the new girl. At all.
Last season, viewers were treated to Wendy bragging about her PhD. During the season premiere, Wendy hosted a “nude interlude” party where she revealed her new breasts, and other assets. That’s right, Wendy has a new butt, and a new attitude. Mia, who is besties with Karen Huger, came with her to the party. Mia shared that her husband is 38 years older than her. But Mia was unable to compute her own age. Oof. She sided with Gizelle Bryant during Karen’s argument with Gizelle.
The newer cast members are shining bright on this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. To be fair, the entire cast is giving viewers so much life, they’re practically immortal by now. However, a big shout out has to be given to Wendy Osefo & Mia Thornton. Wendy’s coming into her second season with new boobs, a new butt, and a whole new attitude. It’s quite the serve. Mia on the other hand is giving everyone messy chaos which means she fits in just fine.
The foundation for this season appears to be built upon the feud between Gizelle Bryant & Karen Huger. This is a fight that has been underway since the dawn of time. They are living legends, and they tow the line between friends and enemies with expert precision. They give the people what they need, but they also keep it real. It remains to be seen if they can continue towing that line. It feels like this season might be the point of no return.
Season Six of the Real Housewives of Potomac is here, and I am living for it. The toxic environment that resulted from Monique Samuels dragging Candiace Dillard by the wig cast a dark cloud over last season. Monique peaced out ahead of Season 6.
Wendy Osefo, who joined RHOP during Season 5, boasts an impressive resume. She has a PhD. Wendy is married to Eddie Osefo, and they have three kids. But all might not be well in Wendy’s world. There was an unconfirmed report that Eddie has a mistress and a secret baby.
Did any of you ever watch that show Age Gap Love on Netflix? It was harrowing. These weren’t your everyday widow-and-orphan money for a hearty glam-squad kind of romances either. It was the real thing. Watching this show was a giant exercise in “why?” There’s just something universally cringe about watching old people mack on a generation that came about 3-4 decades after them.
After only just recovering from the step-grandpappy marriage depicted on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, now we have a 30-to-36-year-old step grandma on Real Housewives of Potomac. How is this a recurring theme? Mia Thornton just gave us our answer.
Real Housewives of Potomac is back, baby! And it’s already started off with a bang. New boobs! Housewives that can’t add (ahem, Mia Thornton)! Gizelle Bryant coming for Karen Huger! What more could we want from a franchise.
Well, RHOP is going to give us a lot more this season. Including Gizelle, and maybe the rest of the cast, continuing to come for La Grande Dame, Karen.
