The last episode of The Bachelorette ended with Jillian Harris tearfully sending Reid home. Jillian was very emotional about her choice and is calling the decision “heart wrenching” in her new blog. Reid was seen by a lot of fans as being the favorite, so this choice came as a surprise to most.
What Jillian doesn’t touch on was the problems that she supposedly experienced in the bedroom with Ed. The implication from last night’s show was that Ed couldn’t rise up to the occasion, but fans of the show suspect the producers of the show might have staged the whole thing to throw us off. The rumor is Ed might be the winner with Kiptyn being the new bachelor. I honestly have no idea. It will be interesting to watch it all unfold.
Jillian however touches on her very steamy date with Ed. The Bachelor(ette) shows seem to be focused on pushing the envelope nowadays. These shows are getting more and more trashier by the minute. It seems they are trying to keep up with the VH1 dating shows.
The steamy massages with Ed and Jillian wasn’t that bad in my opinion. However the implications that Ed couldn’t get it up in the bedroom was a bit much and unnecessary for the viewers. They could have left out that storyline.

It’s a little harder to write my blog now that there is less fun, juicy gossip and more deep, heartfelt feelings. How do you put this into words? This week was a hard one to watch — that heart-wrenching goodbye with Reid, the close-to-inappropriate steamy scene with Ed, (um, did that almost top my hot tub scene!? Yikes!) and me almost barfing on myself on that totem pole with Kiptyn! I have to admit that a lot of feelings came rushing back when I watched the episode this week.
Reid’s date was very bitterSWEET (I capped the sweet because it was more sweet than bitter). See, Reid and I had a very good energy together. When we were together, it was like an old high school crush. We rarely worried about the specifics and were always just so flighty together. What you didn’t see was that we actually got a couples’ massage on the beach before dinner. Soooo romantic! I highly recommend it (if you happen to be slumming around the beaches of Maui looking for something to do)!
So, that feeling that I have been looking for was definitely there with Reid, but the promise of any sort of commitment or partnership wasn’t there. And because I have been hurt before by not being realistic, it made me put up a wall and inevitably led to me letting Reid go. I will have to agree with Chris in saying this had to be the most emotional goodbye in Bachelorette history.
Now Ed’s date. I definitely have to say Ed and I fit A LOT into that day — the catamaran ride, cliff jumping and swimming in the ocean, but the best part of the date was not something I had planned … it was Ed’s surprise. I was SHOCKED when he told me he brought his parents to Hawaii. I had been hearing about this Judy for so long, she became sort of a legend to me. I am positive I was more nervous than she was. And how about Ed’s dad and his classic quote “What the hell are we doing here?” That was another belly laugh moment. After all the hometown dates, I will have to say this was definitely one of my favorites. So real.
Again, I have to say that this episode tugged on the heartstrings. I have been blessed with these three individuals who are not only bright, genuine, charismatic, gorgeous and down to earth — but who respect me and adore me. I can now say with 100 percent conviction that it is possible to fall for more than one person when you are presented with individuals of this caliber.
How could she have KEPT Reid? This fella had not even read “dating for dummies”– all he could muster for her was “I like you this much.” It seems Jillian may not find her true love.
I am far from a prud but if each one of these guys are having sex with this woman, we have reached an all time low in Television in America. In My day Jillian would be known as a SLUT with a two by four strapped to her behind so the other guys wouldn’t fall in.
While waiting on a movie to come on, I landed on this show last night. Who watches this shit? Sexual Predators? Pathetic..just pathetic.

Just an observation, Ed is used to getting his way. He will make a rotten husband. You can count on it. I hope she picks him. LOL
I agree Marti. I think it got a little too raunchy last night. The show seems to get trashier as the days go on. I don’t know what it is about Ed, but something about him rubs me the wrong way. I can’t help but feel like he’s hiding something.
HI Tea, Thanks for your comments. I was so shocked last night…could Not believe my eyes. I might fire a letter off to the FCC later this week and put my two cents in. I know they will investigate, might as well give them something to do.

I am so heartbroken that Reid was sent home! I have 5 kids and have been married for 15 years, and I know love when I see it! She is crazy!!! I am not sure what her problem is…she threw the only guy that truly loves her away! Hasn’t she ever heard, “Actions speak louder than words???” Reid is a smart and sucessful person. He is not a flighty slouch. When you love someone, you have to have faith that things will work out. Things do not always make sense when you love someone. I think that Jillian asks for heartbreak with the decisions that she makes…I WILL NOT WATCH THE SHOW WITHOUT REID. I hope that he will find someone that will appreciate him and be loyal to him. Bad move, Jillian!
Oh… and another thing…Ed is gross and cannot even look Jillian in the eyes when he speaks to her. I agree that something is not right with him. Plus, he is creepy looking.
I agree with LuAnn…Ed, I dont think he truly cares, he left once, who’s to say that he wont leave again…I mean come on…when he wanted to participate in the show, he would have had to tell his employer that he would be gone for as many weeks at it takes to tape the show, but could be back sooner…How can he just turn around half way thru and say he has to leave, but then 2 wks later come back and say he wants another chance…I dont think that is right…I feel that he should have lucked out…I had my eye out for Kiptyn, but near the end, I felt that Reid was the better match for her…But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see as it’s been said that Reid comes back to express his feelings…
She think so highly of herself she keep using the words they adore me.they respect her. yet her behavior was disrespectful. She is not a role model for young people at all.I thought I was watching a soft porn.It was trashy.Is this her way of finding out if she had a physical connection by having sex with different men? how about STD,VD, herpes and AIDS AND CRABS. She was pushing for a commitment from Reid a marriage proposal.he wasn’t ready that was why he was sent home.making love is something you both share it is special and private because you are doing with you heart. for her to have a cameramen taping it was so faked.and broadcast to the world about ED performance anxiety was so low and totally faked.I totally lost my respect for this woman. she is crude and vulgar.
