The Giudices continue to have a rough year as Teresa Giudice’s husband Joe Giudice was arrested yet again.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was arrested at the couple’s NJ home on Friday and has been charged with fraudulently obtaining a state driver’s license.
If you recall, Joe’s license got suspended last year following a conviction for drunk driving, which then landed him 10 days in jail back in September after it was discovered he was driving on a suspended license.
Well according to authorities, Joe, 40, allegedly obtained a driver’s license from the Paterson branch of the Motor Vehicle Office using his brother’s identifying information in June 2010. He is said to have used his brother’s marriage license and birth certificate to obtain the forged license.
“Mr. Giudice was arrested at his home earlier today as the result of an investigation this office did with assistance from the state Motor Vehicle Office,” said Chief Assistant Prosecutor Jay W. Mc Cann yesterday.
Joe has been charged with wrongfully using the ID of another person and for forgery. He faces more than 10 years in state prison if found guilty. His bail is set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option. No word yet on whether or not Joe has been released.
Back in January, Joe was ordered to pay $260,000 to his former business partner for forgery, and then just a month ago, he and Caroline Manzo’s sons were detained in the Dominican Republic for a bar brawl. In addition to that, the Giudices are still required to stand trial on July 14 & 15, 2011 for charges relating to bankruptcy fraud.
A report that came out last year also stated Joe’s license has been suspended a total of 9.4 years out of the last 20 years due to numerous driving sanctions.
UPDATE – Teresa Giudice tweeted away last night about like nothing was wrong. “Hanging out with my honey at Mt Airy Casino, just finished dinner now we are going to checkout the scene… We had dinner at Le Sorelle in Mt Airy Casino in Pocono Resort excellent u should try it,” tweeted Teresa on Friday night.
Guaranteed that Joe G probably has other skeletons in the closet. What about his construction company and all the money. Plus why didn’t they get prosecuted for commiting perjury during their bankruptcy proceeding when they tried to hid money. And now she is prompting another book. OMG only in America geezee!

wow i cant believe so many people are sticking up for Danielle now! she is CRAZY and paranoid and a skany whore!!!! Yes Teresa and CAroline are shady but that doesnt mean that Danielle is a wonderful person! She was clearly delusional with her ex con and hells angels and the rest of her posse/bodyguards she brought to that charity event and didnt even pay for a table for all of them. and wearing her engagement ring when her exhusband and his new wife came to her daughters bday party. she is conniving and selfish! not to mention she cant decide if she likes men or women! she is a hot mess all the way around and i dont believe for one second that she is the only one living an “honest life”.

How pathetic. I for one wouldn’t be out at dinner tweeting if my husband had been arrested, even once. I’d be humiliated & hiding under a rock, hoping no one notices me or speaks to me.

What a loser! I still get worked up when I think of her debt….She made a stupid comment (one of many) about how she and Joe will work and do it all again. I know her intention was that they would have their “fortune” again. What I heard is “we’ll have $11m more debt in a few years.” I’m not really sure how that beast of a woman measures success, but that much debt isn’t how us normal folk would define it. I can’t wait until their July hearing….Hopefully someone is on hand with a video camera when the house gets put “under foreclosure”.

I know when I applied for my DL I only had to provide my birth certificate. A DL is a person’s picture ID so I’m not sure what other picture ID someone would provide to get a DL.
I’m wondering if his brother lives out of state and the brothers colluded to circumvent the Juicy’s suspension.
Anyway, naughty, naughty. Considering he was already found to forge a partner’s signature on loan documents, I believe he try to full this one off too. Didn’t work..ha!
I think Teresa’s tweeting was an obligation to the resort (a lot of celebs get paid to tweet to promote places and things). I also think that is what she does; she pretends everything is wonderful and fine. She’s not one to let the world see her sweat. She will keep up appearances until the very end.

I actually really liked Joe and Teresa in the beginning, I thought alot of their antics were tongue and cheek and played up for the camera, WOW – was I wrong. Joe deserves jail time, he seriously needs a wake up call, before he hurts someone.

Had enough of the Giudices’. They are an embarrassment for their children, although their children will probably grow up to either be like Daddy or marry someone like Daddy. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb parents. Nobody should be surprised at his behavior he thinks he is above the law. I pray that he finally pays his dues in jail.

I hope Joe gets everything he deserves and that includes time in prison. He purposefully, and with intent, set out to be deceitful when he applied for his driver’s license under his brother’s identity.

OMG! I genuinely want them to be successful so that they can pay back their debts, learn to live within their means and provide a healthy happy lifestyle for them and their children. But these two are a mess, and sadly it becomes more and more apparent its never going to happen.

Or, someone saw Joe driving and knew from him being on the show that his licese was suspended and called the cops and the cops then did some research and saw that Joe used his brothers name to get a new license. @70 Anne-you asked if Albie, Jr. had made it through to being a lawyer whether he could be disbarred if it were determined he knew about his father’s lie regarding Brownstone residency. The short answer is that it is highly unlikely. First of all, there would have to be some type of adjudication that Albert, Sr. had committed fraud/perjury. Secondly, there would have to be evidence that Albert, Jr. was complicit in his father’s criminal acts. A lot of attorneys have family members who have broken the law, been sentenced to prison,, fined, etc. It’s extremely difficult to remove an attorney’s license without uncontroverted evidence that the attorney was an accessory to their kinfolk’s crimes.

Long time lurker and first time poster. I live in NJ and there is absolutely no way that you can just go to the DMV and get a licence. Before 9/11 maybe but not in this day and age. You have to show 6pts of proof before you can get a license.
This includes:
Primary ID and Secondary ID
Birth certificate (must have)
social security card (must have)
credit card/bank card
Public Service Bill
Health Insurance Card
Proof of Address (must have)
I am so embarressed by these two bafoons and that show! They definitely do not represent NJ at all!
@123-Angel-What does NJ DMV law reuire for identification if you have been issued a d.l. in another state? E.G. If you have lived in NY and move to FL, you can go to DMV and surrender your NY license and be issued a FL license. Of course, your NY license must be valid/clean at the time you apply for the FL license. This type of exchange falls under the reciprocity laws (only a few states, can’t remember which ones, don’t take part) and are the sam laws that prohibit one from obtaining a license in one’s name if one has a suspended/revoked license in another state. It is b/c of DMV reciprocity laws that allow you to use your NY license to drive in FL when you’re there on vacation, plus if you are assessed any points in FL for a violation, it appears on your NY license when you return home. If Joe’s brother has a valid NY d.l., then I can see why Joe would attempt to obtain a NJ license in his brother’s name when his own NJ license was suspended for the d.u.i. He would claim to be his brother and say he lost the NY license, had moved to NJ which is why he now needed the NJ license. He would then present the birth certificate, baptismal certificate, etc. as corroborating documentation attesting to his identity. Since Joe’s brother’s NY license would be available for NJ DMV to review on computer, and I’m guessing that Joe resembles his brother, then it would have been easy for him to obtain the fraudulent NJ license. Obtaining it would be the easy part, keeping it is another matter. Sadly, the reciprocity laws are what allow those who have committed identificaton theft to obtain a photo i.d. in the stolen identity’s name.

Unfortunately our society admires celebrities and puts them on pedestals. We throw money at them and tell them how great they are. Why? Not because of decency and honorable character qualities, but simply because they entertain us. And with the introduction of reality TV, too often it creates fame whores who get press coverage not for having a particular talent, but for outlandish, distasteful and or immoral behavior. To make matters worse, sometimes they get a free pass from the justice system because they are a “celebrity”.
Hence the reason shameless trash aka: Joe and Teresa Guidice have no problem bringing attention to themselves. because they are enjoying the Reality TV pay checks and opportunities that being a celebrity brings. For them, their dignity is probably just the cost of doing business.

@ Tigdi, my bf just switched his NH license to a NY license and he still had to have 6 pts of identification which included his valid NH ID, birth certificate, a bill in his name with new address, a pay stub with current address, and SS card. It was not an easy process and I would image it would be a similar one in NJ. Joe would have had to have original copy’s of the birth certificate and SS card which makes me wonder about his brothers involvement in this mess.
@ madamedummy, most of the time the reason people dont have a license is because they have violated the driving laws enough times to have their privileges taken away. A car is a deadly weapon which is traveling at high speeds, if you are stupid enough to drink and drive, which Joe was, you shouldnt be allowed to be on the road where you could hurt and/or kill other people. There are diving laws for a reason and if you can’t follow the laws you shouldn’t be diving, plain and simple.
I got my license suspended a couple times now. once was for not having insurance on a vehicle (that was not used and kept in the driveway) and dmv found out. And another time because I had to pay a tax on my car and forgot. People should know and understand that a suspended license doesn’t always deal with people breaking traffic laws.

I just don’t understand how Caroline and jacquline are still friends with Joe and Teresa? What does this say about them? I mean I understand about reality tv and the hype but there comes a time where you have to be true to your self.
