Bethenny Frankel, the self-anointed Queen of TMI, opens up to Redbook magazine about her sex life since having daughter Bryn Hoppy almost a year ago.
Bethenny doesn’t sugarcoat things when she talks about what sex was like for her after giving birth. “It was like sticking my foot in a pool of cold water,” she tells Redbook. “I could have gone on forever not having sex. It wasn’t a personal thing toward my husband — I think Jason’s the sexiest man alive. But it was kind of nice to be like, ‘Nope, store’s closed.’”

And even though she delivered via C-section, Bethenny reveals sex was still painful at first. “It doesn’t matter where the baby comes out; they still cut stuff,” she says, adding that the biggest initial discomfort came from vaginal dryness. “It was kind of like being a virgin,” says Bethenny. “We had to tread lightly.”
Fast forward to today and Bethenny states she and hubby Jason Hoppy are getting back to normal. “If it’s date night, I’m putting on lingerie and we’re having sex,” she says.”If it’s the weekend and our schedules aren’t crazy, we’re having sex. But the fact that I’m even using the term ‘date night’ shows how different things are now.”
Bethenny also reveals baby number 2 might just be around the corner for her and Jason. “We throw caution to the wind and use the withdrawal method now,” says Bethenny. “If we got pregnant again, we’d be happy.”
Moving on to the all new episode of Bethenny Ever After coming our way tonight on Bravo.
On the 9th episode this season, with Gina gone, Bethenny begins her search for a new nanny, and as her business continues to prosper, an inspired Bethenny has dinner with her foodie pal Nick and serves up some life advice for him. Meanwhile, Bethenny is not happy that Skating with the Stars judge Johnny Weir is not on her side.

Like ur comment, I don’t love her, but don’t hate her either…..she’s a very talented, shrewd, smart business woman who’s garnered alot of respect in the world she’s entered…it’s not 4 lightweights, for sure…I admire her tenacity, if a bit neurotic….
All this stuff ’bout the “in-laws” and hubby not bein’ onboard is malarky, imo, once all the fame and moola are factored in…Good 4 her……..anybody that works that hard should be rewarded for their efforts………..goes without sayin, imo…..

@39 Cleveland Girl: I can really relate to her. So, I understand where she comes from with some of her behavior. I often find my behaviors are misinterpreted. Don’t know if that means I am a fan or not. Maybe more just sympathetic to the cause.
Her poor husband. Really? Does she need to share this news publicly? That’s something that should stay between them.

The in laws are standing by the bed saying everything is fine although it isn’t (as always), and then the odd people from Gina’s church enter, do a dance, some drumming, some chanting, and all ends well. We then find ourselves in Dr. Wishhewasmytherpist’s office. End scene. Love it. Love the scene. Love the crazy. Love her too, till she releases her kraken each week….
Hope she enjoys her $$. Cause that’s the only thing she will have left if she keeps treating Jason like a punching bag. Well at least she can keep paying Julie to be her assistant/godmother/friend. Sad when a 40 yr old can’t get her shit together but maybe she never worked on her personal self because SkinnyGirl is her #1 priority. EWWW. YES bethenny, you are the damn overexposed Queen of TMI. we get it. We don’t want to know how miserable you two are in the bedroom. I think we can read it all over your face each episode. Celebrities are soooo full o’ ish! Just as someone previously mentioned, when they marry and reproduce their celebuspawn they act as if they are the guinea pigs of life. I’ll happily take their cushy lives with baby nurses, homes with views and struggles when making millions to do b.s. that people would do for FREE over being a single parent with a degree, in a horrible economy filled with people out of work, competing for customer service jobs and too busy working

Does Bethenny use a baby double because Brynn looks nothing like her or Jason. I just don’t see it. Maybe her surgical procedures left her looking like a turtle but Brynn resembles the real Bethenny. Just sayin’….
I like the show. I look forward it to every week, however the more they show of her business, the more thay I realize that she’s really a nobody. I read her naturally skinny books. I thought they were very simple with nothing interesting and new. Before I knew Bethenny, I actually thought she was just a girl who really was naturally thin. It’s pretty obvious from the show that she’s not. She does major dieting (ie. starvation) to get that skinny. She’s rather unnaturally thin. I don’t think she’s a nice person. She’s self-centered and rude. Her hubby could have done so much better. That marriage will not last.
I think Brynn looks just like Jason.

Thanks for all your feedback guys. I like Bethenny, and I remember being a newlywed (25 years ago) and having weird feelings towards my in-laws. It takes a while to “settle in” and form boundaries that everyone feels comfortable with. Especially with a new baby. People tend to get territorial. That said, I guess I could do without all the sexy talk, but B never holds back!

I dont know why everyone hates Bethany. At first i thought Jill must be posting with her posse of paid employees. She cant have this many employees.
I love Bethany. I can clearly see how she could be to harsh for some people. So , i wont try to change anyones mind. (like that would work)
The idea that she’s proving you can still live the American dream is awesome to me.
I would like to point out to the person upset that she has her product made in Canada… all american companies shut her down. Would not have anything to do with her. Its a male dominated business. She went with the only Company willing to work with her. That happened to be Canada.
I love her show and wish it would run year round.
I don’t think people necessarily “hate” Bethenny; they are just seeing her in a somewhat different light than what she portrays.
You can’t keep using your mother as a crutch to absolve your behavior. You can’t keep putting down people who have no leverage to fight back. You can’t keep talking about your sex life without raising some questions about how far one will go to gain fame. You can’t keep calling this stuff “truth” and not be challenged about your motives.
Last night’s episode showed Bethenny changing into a bra in the middle of a hotel hallway in full view of the camera crew. Why?
All she had to do was return to her room and make the adjustment in private yet she chose to have Julie scurry back to retrieve the bra on her behalf while this was filmed. Does this make sense?
Peeing in a bucket, peeing on toilet bowl, standing on top of a building in NYC without a stitch of clothes on for a PETA ad then whining and moaning about not liking people “looking” at her at a family birthday celebration which produced another Bethenny meltdown calls into question just who this woman is.
I call it famewhoring and disengenuous but that’s just me.
@72 – Donna -Exactly!!! I was also surprised with the way she marveled at the suite. She milled around from room to room…..saying WOW like a hundred times……..is she trying to make us believe that she isn’t use to such opulence? That would be quite disingenuous of her because she may not have had the kind of money she is seeing now, but she has been privileged enough to know the world of opulence that gives way to a presidential suite like the one she was in on last night’s episode.
That is what I can’t stomach about the new and not so improved Bethenny. She is trying to sell this image of rags to riches, when all the while she has never been truly rags…….yeah she may have hit bottom (not even rock bottom), but not this rags to riches story that she is trying to sell.

Who, if they really felt the need to improve themselves, would do so with a full camera crew in the room? This is just another callous set up to make this woman into a sympathetic character, appealing to a fanbase who take her at her word.
There is very little about Bethenny that is genuine. She is “packaged” to appeal to those who firmly believe that she is letting them in on her life without taking into account that there cameras set up to capture whatever she wants to divulge as her “truth”. This way she makes these fans feel “connected” and they do.
Better that Bethenny concede that she is chasing the “god almighty buck” and will use whatever means available to make that happen even if it means taking her “fans” along for the ride.
At least that much “honesty” I can buy into. I offer up that most scenes contain some logo of “skinnygirl” in one form or another to boost those sales. Pandering.

Fortune Brands is a publicly held company. Its stock ticker symbol is (FO). The company releases earnings in early May and also files a 10K, on quarterly results including acquisitions, which is public information.
Bethenny probably doesn’t want anyone to read the 10K or follow up on the details, so she releases her take on the sale to satisfy her fans and those who just wanted a number and not actually confirm it.
Donald Trump does the same thing, and he is someone Bethenny has copied with her product placement, but Trump’s corporation is private. Some of his exaggerations of success, however, are being revealed due to his presidential candidancy.

Very well said, in fact it’s what ALL these “shows” are actually doing…to one degree or another, some more than others…believe me [like u don't already know...lol...] if any of these shows just had a “running camera” moment to moment, it’d be boring as Hell…haha…just like anyone’s Real moment to moment life,…so they gotta “spice it up” however they can…and make it into a “show”…some of this shit is boring as HELL already, don’t we know, and that’s after they’ve spiced it up….LOL….

Hello ya’ll….Would LOVE if u guys could recap or preview or whatever, the HBO Film “Cinema Verite” the new film about the Loud Family of Santa Barbara, CA, which was the FIRST “Reality Show” ever made…..[JUST saw it 2nite]……….with Tim Robbins and Diane Lane………..What’s interesting is it shows the making of the show AND the behind the scenes stuff that @Donna and @Bond Girl are referring to above, and what’s actually MISSING in the current crop of “Reality Shows”….the whole kit and kaboodle, as it were……….REALLY good job they’ve done…bet it’ll sweep the Emmy’s and Golden Globes this year [or it should anyway...lol...] Anybody wanna see what really goes into the making of a “reality show” should check it out…Tho it’s about the ’70′s, it still resonates in the making of it and the American Family…really good…imo…

I like Bethany. She is probably the only “real housewife” or former one that I can say is likeable. She grows on me. That woman is going to be as big as Oprah one day. She has the drive, the smarts and the charisma. She fascinates me. Her baby is incredibly cute too and I am not a baby person. I am jealous of her life, her baby, her husband, her money, her wit.
