Brooke Shields ‘Sick to Her Stomach’ Over Daughter Joining Bravo Reality Show

The reality TV world is not one Brooke Shields cares much about. The actress, who is set to star in the new show You’re Killing Me, discussed her daughter’s upcoming venture into reality TV.

The Blue Lagoon actress admits, “I was sick to my stomach” upon discovering that Rowan Henchy was going to be on a Bravo reality TV show.

While it sounds like she has more than a few reservations about her daughter’s new gig, some good might come out of it. Brooke believes that she can parlay this into something else. She says that Rowan loves being on camera and has a passion for broadcast journalism.

Brooke Shields’ daughter Rowan Henchy has joined the Next Gen NYC Season 2 cast

It’s a world that is very foreign to Brooke and one that doesn’t seem to appeal to her. Rowan will be a part of Season 2 of Next Gen NYC. The show follows the kids of celebrities raised in the spotlight as they stumble through life in New York City.

On the program Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, Brooke offered up some advice to her daughter. “Be the one, the voice of reason,” she urged Rowan. “See if you can translate that into another opportunity.”

While she might have been hesitant at first, it sounds like Brooke is happy with how things are going for Rowan on the show so far. She insists that bad behavior should not be the goal, despite it featuring prominently on reality shows.

In October, Next Gen NYC was officially renewed. Rumors of Rowan joining the cast surfaced at that time. The trailer for the new season came out on May 11. In addition to Rowan, the other new cast members include Liam Obergfoll and Kendall White.

Brooke says that her relationship with her daughters has inspired her new show, You’re Killing Me, which will air on Acorn. Brooke’s other daughter is named Grier. Serving as an executive producer on that show, along with starring in it, has been very fulfilling for her.

Next Gen NYC Season 2 premieres on June 24 at 9/8C and will be streaming on Peacock.
