The ladies of Love & Hip Hop are no strangers to drama. In fact, the most recent episode highlighted a cat fight between Kimbella Vanderhee and video vixen Erica Mena.
Following the airing of the fist fight (which appeared largely instigated by Erica), Erica is now crying foul stating she was misrepresented on the show! Uh, uh. In an interview with Necole Bitchie, Erica claims VH1 edited her to be the bad guy and that the show is now ruining her modeling career because surely we all knew who she was before the show aired!
“My whole image in my career is now affected by this. I wanted them to pull this clip because I don’t want to show this side of me,” says Erica.
Erica adds: “[Kimbella] throwing that glass at me — like I said, whether cameras are there or not, how I reacted is just how I would react for any situation, whether I was on the show or not. Obviously my words hurt her so she decided to become a Basketball Wife and throw a glass at me so I had to be a Bronx b*tch and snuff her. It plays out how it plays out. I can’t really get into that point right now but that moment did backfire on me. There is the bad, there is the ugly, it is what it is.”
Meanwhile, TheYBF.com recently spilled the beans regarding a discussion with Yandy Smith who accounts for the brawl between her close friend and potential client. Yandy believes the drama is manufactured for the show by VH1. You don’t say! A portion of her interview is below.
YBF: Some people believe you’re an instigator, and you play like you have no idea what’s going on. And what we can’t understand is why does EVERYBODY want to fight Kimbella? Is she always the victim or do you call her out for her wrong doings as well?
Yandy: I know people have been calling me the Don King of reality tv, but what I want folks to know is that you only see 10 minutes out of a person’s 24 hour day. I am not all about money and I am a good friend. But this is a reality show…it’s for entertainment. These ladies and I are not really friends, but we are put in social interactions for entertainment purposes. And sometimes, things happen. The producers like to get a reaction because a good fight can lead to 3 million viewers.
As for Kimbella, she doesn’t play victim at all. But for whatever reason, a lot of people [on and off the show] hate on her. I have seen it with my own eyes….people want to pick on her. And now she is so used to people coming for her that she is a little sensitive. But once you break down that wall, she is a sweet girl. But she is not presented in the best light on this show for a number of reasons.
YBF: Any chance of you reconciling with Chrissy after the drama with Jimmy and Mama Jones and you dancing to Nancy’s song?
Yandy: I’ve said it before, I don’t have a problem with Chrissy. I never have. But I have always been close to Nancy. We have talked on the phone every day for the past 8 years. And I wasn’t trying to diss Chrissy when we danced to the song. But it’s like, if you are in the club and a song your favorite auntie made comes on…..you are going to dance! I was like, we in the club and they playing Nancy’s song! I didn’t think about how that made Chrissy feel…..but I did apologize.
TMZ is also reporting about Erica Mena’s latest scene, where she fought with Kimbella Vanderhee after stirring the pot to the point Kimbella had no recourse but to throw a drink her face. Kimbella says, according to the site, that Erica “wasn’t edited to look like the bad guy during their massive hair-pulling cat fight in this week’s episode — Erica WAS the bad guy… and VH1 just showed her for who she truly is.”
As you recall, Erica unleashed a verbal assault on Kimbella about her part in cheapening the video ladies’ persona. Erica believes that she was edited to look like the villain provoking the fight with her negative and aggressive conversation. Erica feels that VH1 portrayed her as a bully that hated Kimbella’s impact on the rap video world by working for less than deserved.
Kimbella is coming to the defense of VH1 after Erica cried foul that she was purposely made to look like the bad guy. Kimbella believes that what was shown on the episode was an accurate depiction of what actually happened, and the network did nothing to try to create more drama. She reveals, “VH1 didn’t do editing on anything with [Erica]. That’s who she is.” Kimbella insinuates Erica started the fight to boost her career as well as give herself relevance in the world of reality television.
Erica, playing by the P.R. playbook after the ladies’ knock-down-drag-out, promises the site, “I wish her well and much success in 2012. Have a happy new year!” Yeah. Because that is totally sincere!

I can see why people want to hate on Kimbella; they keep (trying to) knocking her down but she gets right back up. First fight with Chrissy, Kimbella fixed her hair stated “still look pretty”. Hair catches on fire, once it was out, she continued with the party as if nothing happened. Fight with Erica, she didn’t play victim but high-tailed out of there before the police came.
If Erica was that good, Kimbella should be a non-factor when it comes to her money.
I still say, one, Kimbella should take some fighting lessons, and two, she needs to get a new friend, cause it ain’t Yandy. Every time she introduces Kim to someone, she gets her brains knocked out her head.
Don’t know why I feel this way about Yandy, cause she is one of my favs.

Agree about Chrissy. I want to like her, but her attitude with other women is just so wrong. You keep fighting everyone and at the end of the day no one’s going to be left to help you when you need it.

It is rumored that Erica and Fab was 2gether @ some point. I belive that is the reason that she does not like Kim. Also, Erica made herself look stupid. First, the super heavyweight, delusional, cray-cray, lots of talk no action division battle between NeNe Leakes and Jackie Christie. One episode of non-stop blabbing
The 2nd battle would be between Laura Govan and Evelyn Lozado for the middleweight, I think I’m fine but look like a hispanic transvestite champioship.
Next, the light in the azz, nobody likes me lightweight groupie championship bout between Kimbella and Draya. Is it possible that both could still find a way to get their azz kicked?
The main event would be the brawl for it all. The heavyweight, I’m the baddest b*!(# throwdown between Chrissy Lampkin and Tami Roman. Not sure who’d win but I’d love to see Tami knock that mole off Chrissy’s face.
Finally for comic relief we’d end with the flyweight, old azz crackhead, ruining my child’s career battle between Mama Jones and Frankie.

Get over it! Vh1 does do a lot of editing so who knows what happened or what was said between the feuds. I say Erica called out what was true just in the wrong way. I like Chrissy she’s real and Kimbella does have a lot of enemy’s/haters whatever you choose to call it, but part of it she brought on herself. Love the show I’m sure there’s more drama to come!
The Kimbella & Erica beef does not really interest me. Yandy appears to be a bit of a trouble maker and somewhat two faced depending on who she’s with at the time. She’s about her money but I have yet to see her portrayed as a professional. I’ m not sure about !Olivia
Chrissy can be over the top sometimes but she rides for her friends and her man. I can’t fault her for that. It’s clear to anyone that has eyes that she truly loves Jim. I’m happy for them. Yandy messed up when she involved herself in the personal business of her client. I really felt it was very unprofessional for her to discuss her then client (Jim) and his girlfriend with other cast members. Also, is Olivia anyone friend???
