Teen Mom 2 Recap: New Jobs, New Homes, New Relationships, New Conflicts

Oh, Teen Moms. What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Not much. So without further ado, here’s the lowdown…

We begin with Chelsea furnishing and decorating her new apartment and proactively looking for a job to help her dad with the finances. That’s a start! Adam has been MIA, but Chelsea seems excited to be gainfully employed and potentially meeting new friends at a new gig. Her first interview seems to go well… she wants to go to cosmetology school, she’s working on her GED and her schedule is wide open. Who wouldn’t want to hire her?

Kailyn is still reeling from her recent fight over child support with Jo. She reveals to friends that she hadn’t previously asked for child support before because her mom was helping her. However, Jo lives at home and has a full time job, so he should be contributing equally. Kailyn getting her own place doesn’t negate her financial responsibility to Isaac, but Jo believes that she’s wasting money on their son that he doesn’t need to spend. Um, not the case.

Leah and Corey are reveling in Ali’s good news. Corey’s subtitles tell me that he’s looking into other jobs so he can better support their young family as well as get better insurance coverage for the twins. He’s stand-up… but there is still the camo hat issue.

Meanwhile, Jenelle has taken to staying in bed and moping over her break-up with Kieffer. Barbara has finally given her more responsibility with Jace, but the duo is still fighting about their past problems. Jenelle is having withdrawals from not smoking weed all day. She yells that this is the time of day she likes to partake and her mother’s nagging is driving her to it. She storms out, threatening to falter in her recent sobriety. No, Jenelle!

Fingers crossed Chelsea gets the job at the tanning salon. While she hasn’t really thought about her GED, she’s hoping it won’t be an issue in securing the job. She receives a phone call from the manager and is offered the job while Aubree screams in the background. No, mom, you’re tan enough! The young mother is overjoyed at her new opportunity.

Ali is being fitted for splints by the physical therapist. I love that they are pink, just like her glasses. Back at home, Corey reads (and MTV recites) a letter from the geneticist stating that Ali may have an unspecified form of skeletal dyspepsia. The letter confirms a follow-up appointment within a year’s time. The young couple is confused by the letter and their daughter’s future.

Jenelle confides in her friend Tori that no matter what she does to take care of Jace or help around the house, her mother continues to chastise her. Jenelle doesn’t like what the constant arguing does to her son. Tori invites her to move in with her just a few streets away. Jenelle thinks the move will help salvage her relationship with Barbara and she’ll be close enough that she can still see Jace every day.

Chelsea’s dad is proud of his daughter’s new found attempt at independence. MIAdam decides to stop by and Chelsea fills him in on her new position. He won’t be tanning at the salon anytime soon. The couple hunkers down to watch a movie, but Adam won’t get off his phone. He calls Chelsea stupid and relays that she should feel happy that he actually agreed to spend the night. He’s such a Romeo… she should be thrilled he’s even there! Yeah, that’s it.

Jo tells his brother Junior about Kailyn’s recent filing. He thinks it’s unfair that she expects him to contribute more when she’s living off the government and working part-time. Jo anticipates that her child support request could take a significant portion of his paycheck… how does she expect him to fund his budding “rap” career? Both Jo and Junior swear about how selfish Kailyn is being by asking for money for Isaac. The nerve.

Jenelle breaks the news to Barbara that she wants to move in with Tori. Surprisingly, Barbara doesn’t put up much of an argument. She thinks it is a good idea for the two to have some space as long as Jenelle is willing to spend time with Jace at least once a week while continuing to pay her expenses. Jenelle purports that she is ready to take the next step and get a job to fulfill her responsibilities.

While Chelsea works, her mother has offered to watch Aubree. Her mom is very excited and supportive about Chelsea’s new prospect. Shockingly, Chelsea doesn’t seem so thrilled about her new gig and admits it is because her relationship with Adam is rocky. Her mother admits that it’s probably a good thing that he’s not as much in the picture, but Chelsea wants Adam in her and Aubree’s life.

Kailyn receives a letter from Child Services citing how much Jo owes in child support a month, including back payments. She discusses the information with her boyfriend Jordan who shares in her concern that Jo is going to be beyond angry. Jordan wisely (did I just type that?) advises her to calmly talk to Jo about the situation and to try to avoid conflict while sharing her point of view. She calls Jo to schedule a meeting.

It’s moving day for Jenelle and Barbara is helping her pack. Unlike Kailyn’s mom, it appears that Barbara is letting Jenelle take some furniture with her. Tori finds a letter from Kieffer that is quickly trashed and Barbara’s boyfriend plays mover to make sure that Jenelle is quickly settled in her new home. He’s such a great guy, no bones about it. Of course, regardless of her new situation, Jenelle can’t get Kieffer off of her mind.

While Corey’s getting certified to become a coal miner to make more money for his family, Leah calls the geneticist to learn more about the letter she received. She learns that the testing Ali’s had thus far has been extremely positive, but that the doctor can’t definitively say that there is nothing wrong until they conduct tests on her when she’s older and more developed. Not great news, but not horrible either. As Leah says, “It’s a wait and see game.” Later, Corey and Leah leave the twins with Corey’s parents so they can further discuss Ali’s diagnosis. They are both frustrated, but Corey is together enough not to need closed captioning. That’s a plus, right? They both conclude that waiting a year for more testing is going to be beyond difficult. The couple decides to focus on the positive things that they have to look forward to as far as Corey’s job and a potential new house is concerned.

Chelsea feels much older than her wise (cough, cough) nineteen years. She relays to yet another friend that Adam doesn’t ever want to spend the night with her. Chelsea is looking forward to her new life, but she’s upset that Adam doesn’t want to have a relationship with her now that she has a new job. Chelsea thinks Adam is scared, even though everyone in her life tells her he’s just not that interested. She hopes she can talk herself out of loving him as much as she does. It’s heartbreaking slash teeny tragic. I am so glad to be out of that phase of my life!

Reefer’s back! He and Jenelle discuss their crumbling relationship and he apologizes for being such a jackleg the last time they spoke (a.k.a. when he was yelling at her while she chased down his car). They decide that they need to work on themselves while they work on being good for each other. They agree to take things slowly as they profess their love and share kisses on the porch. That’s slow?

The initial meeting with Jo and Kailyn is off to a stellar start as he calls her a jerk for not paying him enough attention right off the bat. Kailyn tries to explain the math behind the child support calculation, but Jo doesn’t feel like he should be forced to pay more if they aren’t together. He doesn’t grasp that he’d be asked to pay the same if they were still dating. He threatens to appeal the child support ruling. Good luck with that, Jo. Douche. This isn’t about Kailyn, it’s about Isaac, and that is totally lost on Jo. This conversation is going extremely well. Isaac’s crying says it all. Jo promises a court battle before leaving Kailyn sitting alone. Why is he still single?

Next week, Corey and Leah argue over a possible move, Chelsea and Adam break up yet again and Jo contests the child support ruling. Meanwhile, Jenelle is imploding over problems with Kieffer and fighting with her new roommates.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF LAST NIGHT’S EPISODE? SHOULD JO HAVE TO PAY THE ORDERED CHILD SUPPORT? DO YOU THINK JENELLE MOVING OUT OF BARBARA’S HOUSE WAS THE RIGHT DECISION? COMMENTS ON CHELSEA AND ADAM?

  1. Seeing all these media reports about Jenelle’s arrests & crap that has been going on for the past yr is disgusting and only glamourizing them in their eyes. MTV needs to get rid of Jenelle as well as Amber. They are no longer the “role models” MTV is trying to push all these girls to be. IMO it’s all Bulls*.

  2. Keiffer has been wearing that green sweatshirt for about 6 months now…. imagine what he and his hair and breath must smell like? UGGGHHHH. He’s GROSS

Jenelle: “Leave meeee alooooone!!” She is a hot mess.

Jo is a total @sshole!!!!!!! What a scumbag. He truly is a vile person. Contesting child support? Good luck loser!

  4. great recap Lauren – “MIAdam” lol !! thought same about the reincarnation of Reefer’s green hoodie, nasty nasty nasty…

  5. 5
    Gossip Goblin

@Sunshine, Jenelle and Keiffer both wear the same clothes in almost every episode. She is always in that blue hoodie. It is so nasty. I’m sure they both stink of stale weed and stinky butts.

  6. I thought it was hilarious when Jenelle’s mom was like, “you’re strung out on weed”

  7. @Sunshine – what about those stupid white shorts with the hearts, clubs, spades etc, like a deck of cards that Keiffer has been wearing since we first saw him. GROSS.

  8. I hate to talk about “children” in a bad light, but Jo is way more than a Douche, he’s an a$$hole. That’s why children should not have babies because they don’t understand the concept of paying for a child, they definitely don’t know how much it cost to raise a child and they don’t know what goes into day to day care. Then he had the nerve to say she was wasting money on putting a roof over his child’s head. I am beyond disgusted. (Excuse any typos…when I get pissed I type really fast!!)

    Strung Out On Weed

These write-ups are hilarious – they’re better than watching the show!

  10. I totally agree about how dirty and smelly Keiffer must be….that babyshit green hoodie and those ridiculous deck of cards shorts have obviously never seen the inside of a washing machine.

Jenelle screws up time and time again…..refusing to be the responsible mother she keeps promising Barbara she will be if only given one more chance. She does NOTHING around that house and does NOTHING for Jace. Then she wants to go to her freaky girlfriend and blame Barbara for all of her problems.

And Jo- good luck in court you ugly dumbass. You don’t want to help support your child because it will take away $$$ from your rap career? Ugh. Your parents really screwed up raising you.

Chelsea- worthless and boring. Needs to be off the show.

Leah and Corey- hard to watch knowing it is all about to implode…..the little girls are so precious.

  11. @dallasboo – you crack me up!

  12. I agree with the fact that Jo should be paying child support and to-date, has yet to really contribute. However, I believe he does have a good point in saying that his money would be going to fund Kailyn’s lifestyle. Let’s not forget, on last week’s episode she clearly told him she needed his child support payments because she wrecked her car, she has a new place to maintain, etc. I’m sorry but to me that sounds a lot more like she needs financial help herself as opposed to making it all about Isaac. Also, her arguement stating that if they were together he’d still be paying as much; it’s irrelevant. Wake up! You are not together. That’s an invalid arguement. Sometimes she really doesn’t see the whole picture, and while Jo should be providing for his son, Kailyn’s priorities on why he should paying are ass backwards.

  13. it would be funny if a tanning bed hood fell on Chelsea’s head and accidentally knocked some brains into it.. personally, after seeing the way she lives, that girl is the last person in the world you’d want wiping down some bed your gonna be baking in…

  14. I agree with Miguel now a days girls think the child support payment is for them. I’ve seen girls using their child support money on themselves getting their hair done and their nails done. Buying themselves clothes and not spending one dime on their child. Kailyn wreak her car that has nothing to do Jo. Kailyn can’t use Issac money to fix her car child support is for the kid I.e Rent and food and Clothes. Anything else Issac would need it is not for Kailyn to use for personal funds. Not for her car not for cell phone bills it is not Kailyn money and that’s the point. Jo was trying to make I doubt that Kailyn pays for everything for Issac Jo probably help Kailyn with the day to day things. when Issac need something I’m starting to see a patterns with Kailyn she is really selfish it’s all about Kailyn what Kailyn wants and needs. Jo need to pay child support but Kailyn should use that money for herself. Kailyn needs money to afford her lifestyle that’s not Jo problems or responsible Jo is just responsible for his son not Kailyn.

    Miss Lola Monkey

“Reefer” haha too appropriate *love it* these recaps are terrific!
Janelle is one scary chickie! Methinks growing up with that mom of hers has a LOT to do with it!

Reefer should have slapped her back w/ domestic abuse last week with the change bottle incident.

  16. Rapper Jo thinks his $500 a month in court ordered child support is paying to keep Kailyn in the lap of luxury? Idiot!! The money helps pay to keep a roof over Isacc’s head & ensure he has water/etectricity/etc.
BUT, given how much MTV pays these girls, HOW does Kailyn qualify for govt subsidized housing?! I bet she collects a pay check more than a quarter of the people reading this!

  17. I agree with Miguel and Jessica. Kailyn didn’t decide to put Jo on child support until she wrecked her car. I’m pretty sure that Jo buys things for Isaac when he is with him. He should not be held responsible for supporting Kailyn because she doesn’t make enough money to support herself. So many people abuse the child support system and that is not right. Yes he should help her with their child but he should not bare the responsibility of taken care of Kailyn too.

  18. Why should Jo give her $500 a month in child support? Kailyn doesn’t pay rent. I doubt that she is spending $1000 a month on her son.

  19. I think some people are losing the point. Why shouldn’t Kailyn be able to use some of the money from child support to help her fix her car or make payments? That’s the same car that she uses to transport Isaac around. Or should be out on the street walking with him, as she goes to school and work to try to make a better life for the two of them. She is the one who will most likely provide for Isaac the best in the end. Jo’s rap career is going nowhere since his “talent” is abysmal at best. Kailyn will soon have a degree that can assist her in obtaining a job paying much more than what Jo will probably earn. No one has really applauded her for that. It’s not like Jo’s in school trying to better himself. The only mistake Kailyn made is not filing for child support along with the custody agreement when he kicked her out of his family’s house.

  20. I don’t agree with those saying that Kailyn is going to use it for her car or herself. Yes, her car is wrecked, but she has a job. If she had help with Issac’s needs (food, rent, clothing, etc.) she could use her own money that she earned to pay for the car. Besides, I don’t think using child support money to help fix a car she drives her son around in is an abuse of the system since Jo wants to use the child support money for his rap career. Kailyn seems to have a pretty good head on her shoulders and is going to school, working, living on her own while taking primary care of her child. She doesn’t seem to spend tons of money on herself and seems to want to make her life better for herself and Issac. He looks like a selfish ass. End of story.

    Debbie the Wig

Fair is fair. Child support is meant to help support the child. That includes a roof over his head, food, heat, not just diapers and wipes. Just because he buys things for the baby doesn’t mean he shouldn’t pay CS. If he actually had to pay half of everything Kailyn has to pay I’m sure it would be way more than 470/month. I was aghast when he said he could be using that money to help his music ‘career’. You brought this kid into the world he is your responsibility. Idiot.

  22. @Sunshine…LMAO! I was thinking the same thing about him always wearing that nasty sweatshirt and being a homeless bum.

  23. Kailyn might want to give up her $60/week manicures……just might help buy a little more for the baby. I think Joe pays for everything when the baby is with him….food etc…but he surely should donate to child support.

But I also agree Kailyn is selfish and cold…just like her mother who raised her.

  24. 24
    Now, Say what now

It is ridiculous to see people complain about “child support “she uses the money on herself” That is the most ignorant thing to say. She has to SUPPORT the kid. she is paying for food, gas, electric, water, diapers, doctors, insurance for medical and car, medicines… rent, laundry, clothes, gas for the car, car seats, toys, and college… im sure im forgetting a million other things that single mothers have to provide!

saying she doesnt deserve it, is saying the baby doesnt deserve it. The court did not award her too much.. there is a set amount based on a scale. Im sorry he cant pursue his rapping like he use to….. why should Kael have to be the only one making sacrafices ? she is going to college to better herself and give her and the kid a better life.. what is Jo doing with his life besides rapping, smoking weed, getting arrested and living at home with mommy and daddy?

Jo doesnt even spend time with his son so its no surprise he is complaining about support. his mother is the one who pushes for more days with her grandson.. its his mother who watches him. jo sees him when it fits his schedule. He is an asshole and his mother allowing him to treat the mother of her grandson the way he does is disgusting. she co-signs his behavior and is just as nasty to her as Jo its no surprise that he believes he shouldnt have to support his own kid.

    Im embarassed for his mother..

  25. Although Kailyn does pay for alot, I doubt she pays for health insurance etc…she’s obviously got government aid.

It’s all stupid really when you consider the paychecks these kids are getting from MTV. More than I make in a year that’s for sure.

Joe is ignorant but she is no saint.

  26. I can’t wait for Issac to grow up and see his ‘father’ asking his mother why he should have to pay for him. What a complete douche bag a-hole loser! And that scene with his brother at their mommies house is priceless…..calling mom a selfish bitch for wanting money to help Mom take care of Issac-that’s going to be a bonding moment for father and son. Wow.

This is why kids should not have sex….they have no concept of common sense!

  27. I think I saw in coming attractions she and Joe actually get back together…at least in bed for one night….

Wonder how much his mother liked that one? LOL

  28. I forgot to ask in my last post…does that jackass Adam pay anything at all? I mean before they just started to garnish his paycheck. I’d love to see what he has to pay a month.

These girls sure know how to find creeps. cept for Leah and she apparently didn’t want to keep him around.

  29. I can never understand a damn word Corey says. Leah gets trashier by the episode.

Chelsea needs to live in the real world, have a full time job and have Aubree in child care. No, it’s not ideal, but that’s the real world of single mom’s and dad’s.

Kailyn should have talked to Jo before filing. That’s a lot of money for one child and I’m sure they could have come up with a better solution.

    I have words about Jenelle.

  30. I don’t quite understand how Kailyn is acting selfish and cold. I also don’t quite understand how Jo got off without paying child support in the first place. She’s doing a lot more then the most of the other mothers in these shows, with going to school and working. And she didn’t state that she was just going to up and spend the child support on herself just because she got into the car wreck. In fact, how she explained it was, because she now had the car payment added into everything else, having the child support would allow her to have money FOR Isaac so she wouldn’t have to be living paycheck to paycheck paying for everything else on top of that. It takes two to make a baby, Jo needs to be responsible too, and being a single mother myself, I understand how hard it is going through what she is going through. Kids are expensive, especially babies. She did the right thing by going to DSS and getting that taken care of. How is she selfish for worrying about her child?
Jo is the selfish one. He isn’t even around the majority of the time Issac is there and for what? A rap career? Please. Kailyn is still my favorite out of all of these girls. She doesn’t have parental support, unlike Chelsea and Leah she doesn’t have over the top hair and clothing. If she’s being selfish, it’s on her son’s behalf.

  31. Also, about it being a lot of money for one child, DSS works that number out according to how much he makes, what he spends, etc. Lawyers have copies of that from the get go. That;s not a number that she came up with on her own.

  32. 32
    daisygirl113

Kailyn is paying rent, a small amount and she is supposed to be saving money to get a place all on her own later on. And Jo’s comment: “Why can’t she get a higher paying job and support herself?” Because she is still in school and can only work part-time. That is the lamest excuse for dads that don’t want to pay child support, what if she uses the money on herself? I didn’t, it went straight to the kids and if she is such a selfish you know what like that, maybe you shouldn’t have hooked up with her in the first place. Jo lives at home and works for his mommy and has no idea what it’s like in the real world, maybe it’s time to find out.

  33. 33
    Shaken but not stirred

Maybe Kailyn should let Jo have full custody of Isaac so she can attend school full time and work her part time job. Then Jo won’t need to pay child support because it would be his full time job to support his kid.

  34. 34
    Now, Say what now

If Kaylin went to Jo about child support it would have been fight. Also, they would have worked something out at a lower amount that allowed Jo to pay less, Kailyn to continue to struggle and Jo still would have been angry and treated her like crap. she did the right thing going to court.. she gets a % of what he makes, which is fair.

  35. 35
    Gossipgirl29

The last scene with Kailyn and Jo was heartbreaking…u can tell she is trying her best. And wtf is wrong with Jo? U hafta pay child support in PA, and he’s no exception!!

  36. 36
    Freckledbruh

Where the hell are people getting that Jo hasn’t been paying for shit before now? Those two had an informal agreement in place for support and he was fulfilling that. He has every right to question if his money from this formal support will actually go to his son and not coach bags and silly mess. His son is living in a damn laundry room for God’s sake. Kailyn has shown herself to be both a liar AND a thief so I wouldn’t trust her ass either.

  37. Child support is for the child, so a place to live, food, clothes, medication, school and yes a car. There is nothing wrong with Kaylin using the money to help with her car, because without that car she cannot continue to provide for her child (job, school and yes thats providing for her child. Better education = better paycheck). Child support is mandatory and its calculated on the percentage each parent makes and the amount of time each parent spends with that child. So yes Jo should pay it and shut up. If they were still together he would be shelling out a lot more money, because the non custodial always gets away with less. They don’t have the day to day nor the all the time expenses. My ex husband pays me a lousy $50 a week, do you think it only costs $50 a week to raise a child? Thats not even 2 packs of diapers.

  38. I m not one to respond much tp comments left by others but aftering reading the crap spewed by Freckledbruh I had the strong urge to say something. Either you know Jo and feel the need to defend him or you are just as ignorant as Jo is.Informal agreement or not most states require the non custodial parent to pay support, either parent. Yes mom pay too if the children live with dad. The child may sleep in a laundry room but he has a room and a bed. It is also extremely churlish to call someone a theif for going to school full time, paying for it herself, working part time, because there is only 24 hours in a day, taking care of a child and NOT doing this on welfare.Anyone who is a parent knows how expensive it can be to have a toddler and they do not get any cheeper as they grow. I think that it is time for some to grow up and face the facts that once you have a child you are not the priority anymore, your child is. Hopefully Frecklebruh you do not have any yourself, I shudder to think what you think is an appropriate amount of money to be spent on your child.

  39. 39
    Candy Cane

Am I missing something – Don’t these girls get paid $100k each season for being on this show? If so, wouldn’t Kailyn have to pay Jo child support?

  40. 40
    Freckledbruh

@TJ: I called kailyn a thief because she stole furniture and a tv from her mom. Dont make false assumption if you’re going to supposedly call someone out. As for being expensive to raise a child, duh. I didn’t say it wasn’t. What I’m saying is that YOU and others are acting like the dude paid nothing before this order and that shit ain’t true. And due to kailyn’s questionable actions over the course of this show, he has every damn right to question how she uses the money for THEIR child.

  41. These girls are not teen moms anymore. They are 20 year old adults.

I just want to comb Chelsea’s hair. WHY she thinks she looks cute with her sloppy hair is beyond me. If she hasnt been working for the last 4 years, why has it taken her so long to obtain a GED?

Jenelle needs a taste of humble pie. Let her sit her ass in jail and reflect on her life. She will probably fit right in, and try to intimidate the other imnates and continue fighting.

  42. I am pretty sure half the rent, bills and diapers add up to more than 500$ a month so to be honest here.. The support is paying for a portions of issacs living expenses the rest is covered by Kayel including the dumb car repairs. The people saying she doesnt deserve child support has to be JO or related to Jo no one in their right mind would think a mother should not recieve child support! But, i guess there are jails full of idiots who believe otherwise… in my state, failure to pay lands you in jail. You will also have your drivers licence revoked for not paying.

I just cant imagine why someone would think they shouldnt have to pay…

  43. Corey’s a saint and Leah, we’ve come to find out, is a slut, which is very sad – I really hoped they’d make it. They’re so worried about Ali that Alyeeah seems to get slighted, hardly ever see them loving on her – I understand the sentiment of giving the less fortunate child lots of love, but the healthy child needs love too. Kaitlyn is a selfish, combative bitch and Jo is a selfish asshole who is left to react to Kaitlyn’s combativeness – they’re made for each other. Kaitlyn always starts the shit. Jo’s mother should try to get custody. Jenelle is just a trainwreck, unfortunately she’s very bright but lazy and selfish, I don’t see her going anywhere but down. Barbara’s boyfriend should try to get custody – he seems like the only one that is calm enough in that situation to raise a child. Not only is Chelsea stupid, lovesick, immature and lazy (and has a horrible sense of style), she also has zero self worth and thinks her existence depends on what Adam thinks of her – her dad should try to get custody. They all should have kept their legs closed, but poor self esteem = legs open.

  44. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jenelle gets pregnant again too, this time by Kieffer.

This way, there’ll be yet another baby tossed in her mother Barbara’s middle aged lap while her weed addicted, skid row bum of a daughter continues yelling for Barbara to” Leeeeeave her alooooon-ah!”

Anybody else notice how both Jenelle and Chelsea “annoyingly” love to add another syllable on to some words? Makes my damn ears bleed.

  45. 45
    Taylor is NUTS!

Out of everyone on this show Corey and Kaitlyn are the only ones who have any sense. The fact that anyone would agree with the piece of crap excuse of a father Jo is beyond me. He isn’t paying rent, going to school, and he WORKS for HIS MOM! Kaitlyn does not get financial aid which probably where the check that she gets from MTV goes to pay for her school. She is working two part time jobs which i’m sure might (and i use the term loosely) equal out to 40 hours when you combine them. She has THEIR son majority of the time and his rap career is more important than food, clothes, and diapers for his son. He won’t even pay for diapers for his son! The fact her male friends who are the same age as her believe that Jo should be paying for child support says a lot for the type of people that kaityln surrounds herself with. She is not around pot heads like Jennelle or other teen moms like Chelsea.
As for Corey, subtitles or not he is the ONLY true father on this show who steps up to the plate and takes care of his kids. It’s a shame that there are grown men out here who can’t step up like him to take care of their kids and he is doing it as a teenager. I applaud them for taking care of their responsibility, unlike the rest of them.

  46. 46
    Taylor is NUTS!

@40 FRECKLEDBRUH: Please explain what actions of Kaitlyn’s has been questionable? She took the furniture out of the room at her mom’s house..ok. Her mother asked her to brin back the tv, she did. She started dating Jordan while she was living with Jo’s parents house, she never brought him in the house. But i’m sure you have no problem with Jo calling her a whore, a dumb bitch, etc. in front of his child and not thinking twice about it. She is only getting assistance with where she lives and even that is going to stop soon. I can’t wait until their son gets old enough to watch these shows and sees that his father thought that his “rap career” was more important that taking care of his son. This kid needs diapers, food, clothes, doctor check ups, etc. And if Kaitlyn is just wasting money for herself, like you are implying, why is Jo living at home? He has a full time job and no kid that he has to take care full time. He’s of age…get out of your parent’s house and let’s see how well his full time job takes care of just him alone.

  47. Umm, Kailyn is on a glorified welfare plan. She still receives government aid and assistance despite the message that she puts out. Everyone bashes Jo, but even Kailyn will say that he is a good father. People comment on Jo’s rap career, but everyone has a hobby or a vice. No one comments on Kailyn’s hobby a.k.a. Jordan Instead of discounted Sports Authority gear, maybe that should be spent on Isaac. I have no sympathy for her because she put herself in this predicament. Also, everyone conveniently misses the point that Jo is not trying to avoid his responsibility. He said that he would go to the store and pay half of everything. And yes, he might pay the same if they lived together, but there would be other trade offs that come with being in a two person household and it would be easier on the both of them. And even a community college education does not usurp an entire MTV check! People make assumptions based on 1 hour of television. Douchebags, Jo gets three days and Kailyn gets 4 days and then MTV edits as they please. How can you say that she gets Isaac that much more.

Are you people actually in belief that this is a “reality show”?
Kailyn gets a fat MTV Teen Mom 2 check but yet is on government aid and requires Jo’s child support to get by?
If she does in actuality need it to GET BY, then he should be concerned about what she is doing with her finances and how she will be spending his…cause the would make her really irresponsible…right?
Let’s face it people, this is not reality TV and you are defending shoulda coulda wouldas.
And for the record, I am in no way implying that anyone should ever NOT pay for their responsibilities, their child.

  49. All these teen moms are just disgusting, as well as all the dad’s except Corey. These were always the LOSER girls in high school that got pregnant, and it’s that way now. It’s time to stop paying these skanks a cent, and forget about putting them before the public every week. Every last one of them and their kids will be going nowhere in life. All these dumb ass girls asked for it, getting pregnant when birth control is available, unlike in many other countries. Everyone knows only stupid girls get pregnant, this show is not helping anyone, the dumb skanks are CLEARLY spending the money they get on hair, nails, tanning, AND NOT ON THE KID.

@46: #1) You act as if her stealing the furniture was no big deal because she “returned it”. Sorry, but stealing is stealing and it’s wrong. Period. As for her other questionable actions, how about her telling Ms. Rivera that she would hold off on dating while living there (which was a lie) and then sneaking around with Jordan and even bringing her and Jo’s son around the dude without even informing Jo. That is questionable for sure. Or how about when she borrowed $600 from Jo, said she would pay him back in her next check and then had to be forced to pay it back. Child support is a necessity and Isaac deserves it, but with a mom like that, Jo has every right to question if it’s actually benefitting his child and not paying for hair crap, coach bags and uggs. And whoever said something about kailyn’s rent, obviously you don’t watch the show because you would know her rent is only $50 per month because she was “homeless” which was a load of bull because she had TWO places to live but she couldn’t be bothered to clean up after her nasty self. I still can’t believe she makes Isaac sleep in a damn laundry room. He’s a baby. Why can’t she have his crib in her room. Idiot.
