Teen Mom Recap

Briana's-mom

During last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Briana DeJesus’ youngest daughter, Stella had to be rushed to the hospital because of a bacterial infection that was affecting the mobility of her arm. Both Briana and her mother struggled to take care of her other daughter Nova as well. Nova doesn’t quite understand what is going on, but it is obvious she is missing her mother and sister.

Briana reveals Stella’s dad’s only response to her emergency surgery was to ask for updates about how she is doing. SMH. You would think he would want to come and see for himself since she is in the hospital. This is exactly why I think Briana needs to slow down with her relationships. She seems to make very bad decisions with the men in her life. This includes her current boo, who she is already rushing into a relationship with.

Brianna-camps-with-new-man

During last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Briana DeJesus invited her next baby daddy boy toy, John to go camping. Briana’s mom hears about the trip and she hopes she is going to pace herself. I think we all hope that! She falls in love just as quickly as the relationships fall apart. SMH. If she put as much effort into her kids as she did with these men, then she would be super mom.

It is very odd to me that there are only three people going on this trip. Briana only invites her best friend and her new boo. Seems like this was supposed to be a girls trip and the plans changed at the last minute. Who would want to be the third wheel on a trip???? What is sad is that I am not surprised. She just seems like the type of friend who would ditch you at the club the moment a guy smiled at her.

Jenelle

During last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, we got to see the fallout from Jenelle Evans  911 call getting released online. Following its release, she refused to film. The producers talk with Barbara Evans. She is afraid to confront her about the incident. Barbara feels like if she pushes Jenelle, she may not confide in her when something really bad happens. She also reveals that she was a victim of domestic violence and how she had feelings of shame and embarrassment.

In Barbara’s mind, it may be even worse for Jenelle because she is a public figure. In the end, she makes the decision just to accept whatever she tells her as an excuse and not intervene in her marriage. This made me feel sad and angry. Jenelle has flipped out on her mother so much that Barbara is scared to show concern for her own daughter.

kailyn and her podcast guests

During last nights episode of Teen Mom 2, worlds collided when Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Baltierra from Teen Mom OG come to visit Kailyn Lowry for her podcast. They discuss everything from family to addiction and give some much needed advice. There is also a 911 call that is revealed, that one of the mom’s made in fear for her safety! Who is in danger?

Kailyn talks with a friend about her ex, Chris Lopez and where they are in their relationship. I suspect it’s nowhere, but I guess I can entertain her delusion for a moment. She says she has never gotten over him, but she is open to getting back together. Kailyn admits that she is addicted to the chaos he brings, but wants to be a family with him. I honestly believe if not Chris, it would be someone else. I just think Kailyn doesn’t want to be alone and when she is, she clings to whoever was her last love interest. She did the exact same thing with Javi Marroquin after they broke up.

Janelle -gets- bad -news -from- producers

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2,  Jenelle Evans’ baby daddies are coming out of the woodwork. Nathan Griffith took her to court after child abuse allegations.  Jace’s dad Andrew Lewis, showed up out of the blue.  Is Andrew’s new interest genuine? Or does he just want attention? Jenelle definitely has 99 problems, and ALL of her baby daddies are one!

Leah Messer’s daughter, Addie is going to kindergarten. Her twins are starting third grade. Ali is going to get a new aide at school to help her. Ali had not been eating at times in school because she was worried she would drop her tray. Hearing this, broke my heart, I am glad the school decided to give her assistance again. I think it is sad that this school isn’t prepared to help students with disabilities.

Janelle-cries-over-husband

Teen Mom 2  is back with a brand news season! Last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 opens with Chelsea Houska who is seven months pregnant. She and her husband Cole DeBoer just bought a house on a large plot of land in a quiet rural area. The couple seems to be having many new beginnings, with a baby on the way and buying a new home. Everything isn’t as sweet for everyone on. Teen Mom 2. One cast member is fighting child abuse allegations the episode!

Chelsea’s ex, Adam Lind, can now only see Aubrey at a visitation center. He has to show up fifteen minutes early so that they don’t run into one another. If he fails to arrive on time, the appointment is cancelled. While on the way to the visitation, Chelsea is very open and honest with her daughter about why she has to meet her father in this manner. Sadly, she receives a call from the center reporting that Adam didn’t show up and therefore the visit is cancelled. He will have to pay a no show fee in order for them to set up another appointment. My heart broke for Aubrey. It was apparent she was disappointed not to get to see her dad.

Amber-and-Gary-on-reunion

On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, in part two of the reunion, hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab, sit down with the OG’s as well as their significant others and families. This episode we get a little more in depth as we finally get to hear the families perspective on this season. We even get more insight on Cory Wharton’s thoughts on Cheyenne Floyd and a possible relationship.  She admitted in part one, she would be ready to have a relationship with Cory, but she knows he is not interested ready (for anything other than sex).

Andrew Glennon looks awkward and nervous when he asked about his thoughts on Amber Portwood’s thoughts of suicide. He shares that it is scary, but he needs to do more research and talk and listen to Amber to help her through her depression. When talking about being a new father, he begins to cry thinking about how his son makes him happy.  Gary Shirley and Kristina Shirley join the stage to discuss co-parenting.

They claim co-parenting is going well and Leah is doing fine, but it seemed during the season (and every season) that they wish Amber would do a little more. Kristina goes into detail on her miscarriage and gets emotional while speaking about it. Amber also tears up (in an attempt to steal the attention back) when she sees how upset Kristina is and her own miscarriage. Dr. Drew commends them both for sharing their stories about losing children for others that may need to hear it.

Teen-Mom-OG-Cast-at-reunion

On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, we look back at the journey the five moms went through this season. The cast sat down with hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab, to chat. They discussed everything from mental health, children and divorces. This season, Amber Portwood even threatened to leave the show. As much as Amber may need a break, selfishly I don’t want to deal with getting to know a new mom. Let’s face it, new moms, Cheyenne Floyd and Bristol Palin, were train wrecks, each in their very own annoying way.

Maci Bookout got emotional when asked about memorable parts from the season. She can’t look at anyone without seeing hurt, especially with all of the mom shaming online. She wishes the other moms could see themselves the way she sees them. This is clearly a reference to Amber, who has been plagued with depression and recently struggled with comments on social media about her parenting skills. The other moms come to the defense of Amber and try to uplift her spirits as she breaks down. I do feel for Amber, it is obvious she has many issues.  But at the same time, you either have to make the choice to get off social media or leave the show. As much as I hate to see her go (she is good TV), it’s clear to me she isn’t emotionally strong enough to handle it.
