The reality hoegul, who on the most recent episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami was just lambasting and berating sister Kourtney Kardashian for putting her small children before the demands of the Kardashian dynasty, has just announced that she too would like to abandon reality TV for her personal life!
In a recent interview with DuJour Magazine, Kim announced her intentions to quit Keeping Up With The Kardashians after season 9, which is due to begin filming soon and will air in the fall. Kim says Kanye encouraged her decision to leave reality TV, or what she calls "the best family movie ever."

"I'm ready to be a little less open about some things, like my relationships," Kim shares. "I'm realizing everyone doesn't need to know everything."
"When you live your life so publicly, like on a reality show, people assume that they know every side of you already. But they always want more." I wonder if Kim will stop posting nearly-nude selfies on twitter too? I guess that and sex tapes are privacy invasions she can get behind (see what I did there… ).
Kim says living out her divorce on TV (a plot which has largely been ignored on the various Kardashian shows) has been a painful experience for her – and a learning one.
"Going through a divorce for anybody is devastating and heartbreaking, and then to have to do it and feel like you have to explain what is happening is such an awkward thing," Kim laments.
"You have to explain your choice to millions of people, and then they're disappointed. I'm disappointed. Why are they disappointed?"
My opinion as for why people are "disappointed" in Kim's choices, it's because obviously the marriage was a sham she went along with to further her career, and the public is not that stupid. And furthermore, she chose to air her relationship, proposal, marriage, and then five minutes later an entire reality show focused around how the marriage was just not working. Hmmm…
Kim says her career and her life are simply transitioning away from the reality TV stratosphere. "I think there's always an evolution of, you know, what you want to do in life. It's all about finding things that really excite you and motivate you and spark you all over again," Kim reveals. Kim also says she wants to get into acting now.
"I'm realizing that no matter what, if you go into something with all these expectations and plans, once you're actually living it, it could be completely different."
With the last two seasons of Kardashian shows suffering from disappointing ratings, maybe it's time for all of them to move on.
And there is no sweeter irony than the Kardashian dynasty going down in flames because Kim, of all people, got a little taste of A-List and decided to sink the ship! I guess Kanye doesn't want to televise Kim's third marriage (and impending third divorce!).
And people have already seen his girlfriend's crotch, so why bother filming the childbirth!

TELL US – WITHOUT KANYE WOULD KIM CONTINUE WITH REALITY TV? DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS WILL BE HER LAST SEASON OF KKUWTK?
UPDATE: Well that was fast! Kim is now backtracking. Taking to her personal blog, Kim clarifies that she will at least be filming TWO more seasons of KUWTK.
The Kardashians signed a $40 million dollar deal with E! last year guaranteeing at least three more seasons of the reality shows and apparently Kim is bound and beholden by the lure of money!
"I know that many of you have read the Dujour Magazine interview I just did. In the article, I was asked about continuing on with ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ As everyone knows, we are extremely proud of the show and all of us are staying on through at least season 10,” Kim wrote.
“The show remains to be my number 1 priority and it’s a big part of my life and I enjoy every moment of it. It has given me such a rare opportunity to share more of my life with all of you and has brought my family closer to each other."
"I’m looking forward to the new season and beyond. The fact is that I have many goals that I still need to reach and accomplish and I (like so many of you) don’t know where my life will be in the next couple of years, but I’m looking forward to continuing this journey.”
Obviously Kris J and the honchos at E! flipped out and made Kimmie Kakes issue a quick retraction since she was essentially trashing the brand and her decision to do reality TV in the Dujour article. Oopsie. That's the last time Kimmie does an interview without supervision, eh.
Kim says she still doesn't want to air "baby stuff" (although we know she will!) and that future Kanye appearences on the show are still undecided. "We haven't really gotten that far," she told Dujour.
And too bad – I guess we're stuck with Kimmie for at least another year. Ick.
