As if she wasn't already lemony and white jeans and perfection, Yolanda Foster proves she's even more lovely by bringing attention to Lyme disease.  After having difficulties with memory and speech during the most recent season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda sought medical treatment and was diagnosed with chronic neurological Lyme disease.

It' no surprise that Yolanda is being honored for her work in spreading awareness of the tick-borne disease which does not yet have a cure.  As if she wasn't already classy enough, now the beautiful, shushing Yolanda has an important cause to champion.  You go, girl!

According to PR web, Yolanda will be honored with on April 6 with the Starlight Award from the Lyme Research Alliance.  The award will be presented at the foundation's annual gala in Greenwich, Connecticut, and it will feature dancing and two auctions.  Up for grabs?  A painting by one of the Rolling Stones, VIP tickets to Dr. Oz, a two year lease on a new Mercedes coupe, and a week at Tommy Hilfiger's vacation home.  Not too shabby!  Honorary chairs for the event include professional sports figures, actors, designer Tommy Hilfiger, and Bravo King Andy Cohen.

In addition to recognizing Yolanda, the gala will honor several doctors and medical researchers who are working tirelessly to find a cure for Lyme disease.  Yolanda has recently finished a ninety day grueling treatment of antibiotics.

Speaking of the honor, Yolanda shares, “I am looking forward to accepting this award because I am on a mission to speak out for those who are suffering from Lyme disease.  It’s essential that a reliable diagnostic test for Lyme be developed and that research efforts be supported to find a cure for this silent killer. There are so many different protocols and so much controversy on how to cure Lyme disease, it’s insane.”
