"The series will feature love triangles, dramatic moments between the roommates, surprise visits, financial woes and career decisions as the group attempt to acclimate to their new 'English' lives in yet another unfamiliar city," the press release describes.
Breaking Amish original flavor isn't going away either. In an interesting twist, three new women and four new men will step into the roles as the rebellious Amish adventuring outside the community. Production is beginning soon and a summer premiere is expected.
Breaking Amish was a big hit for TLC and emerged as the highest rated new show on the network, with an average viewership of 3.2M. Some criticized the authenticity of the series because many of the show's cast had lived outside the Amish and Mennonite communities for years. The network argued that the trials and tribulations of adjusting to the modern while dealing with young adulthood still remained. Obviously viewership did not suffer.
No word yet if the new cast of Breaking Amish has previous experience outside the insular communities.
