Mona Scott-Young certainly knows what we like–reality drama so scripted it becomes hilarious entertainment! Of course, it’s even better if that drama is created by two certain members of the Love & Hip Hop family. Y’all know to whom I’m referring! Prayers have been answered.

The Puerto Rican Princess and Stebbie are getting a spin-off! Because what better way to reward bad behavior than by giving the couple their very own television show? I mean, if we’re being totally honest, they are the runaway stars of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. It’s basically the Stevie J. and Joseline Hernandez show anyway…with a multitude of supporting cast! VH1 has just announced the spin-off, as well as the renewal of K. Michelle: My Life. It’s a good day to be a LHH veteran!

K. Michelle’s solo reality venture ranked as the third most watched cable series among women 18-49 according to Zap2It. The series follows the musician’s move to Los Angeles as she continues to propel her music career while navigating new relationships and moving on from her past.

Similarly, Stevie and Joseline’s story line will pick up where this season of LHHATL ended. The couple will also be taking on the City of Angels (will Mimi Faust join them?). While starring on the big screen is the duo’s ultimate goal, the show will feature Joseline trying to form a relationship with Stevie’s five children as he returns to his roots, reconnecting with his old music industry pals. The as-yet-untitled series will be comprised of eight half-hour episodes.

Susan Levison, EVP of Original Programming and Production for VH1, is thrilled that hip hop has become such mainstream staple. She explains, “In a summer where the film Straight Outta Compton went straight to #1, Taylor Swift’s collaboration with Kendrick Lamar topped the Billboard charts and our own Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta ranked as the #1 reality show on cable, hip hop’s dominance of pop culture was confirmed yet again.”

She adds, “We’re excited to fuel our audience’s continued fascination with all things hip hop by extending the story lines of some of their favorite Love & Hip Hop cast members.”

Both shows are slated to air in the winter of 2016. What? We have to wait a whole year for Stevie and Joseline’s craziness? Who am I kidding…it will totally be worth the wait!
