The Tables Have Turned

Last week’s episode of Survivor gave us an early game-changing surprise when it split the remaining 18 contestants into three new tribes, just six days into the game. For tonight’s Episode 3 (or 4 if you consider the two-hour Premiere as two episodes), the producers have another twist up their sleeves: There will be not just one, but TWO Tribal Councils tonight…yes it is double the Survivor fun crammed into just one normal hour.

So what can we expect heading into tonight’s episode? Let’s go over what you may be able to anticipate as we barrel towards tonight’s new crazy episode. And in case you missed last week’s episode, here is the Episode 2 Recap as well as the Exit Interview with the contestant that went home last week.

Taking a look at the Video Preview of tonight’s episode from CBS, it looks like Jeff Probst is left speechless after what could be one or even two crazy Tribal Councils, and seeing Probst speechless is not an every day occurrence. Now with three tribes, it appears as if BOTH losing tribes at the Immunity Challenge will have to shed a member. Following last week’s Caleb exit, that tribe – Tai, Brad, Deb, Hali, and Sierra – are the only tribe with just five players left, with Hali appearing to be on the outside. But hey, whenever Tai is on your tribe, nothing is certain.

The Tables Have Turned

Troyzan, of course, could be the person who supplies some of the Tribal Council drama tonight. He seemed to clearly be the odd-man-out at his tribe, but having found a hidden Idol during the Immunity Challenge, Troyzan is in the best position to supply some fireworks tonight. JT was also outside of his tribe’s core alliance, and if he doesn’t find an Idol soon, he may really be on the outside, as in outside of the game.

Here is the synopsis of tonight’s episode from CBS:

“The Tables Have Turned” – A dramatic twist in the game sends shockwaves through the tribes. Also, castaways are flying blind at a classic immunity challenge, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, March 22 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

A quick note: I’m still awaiting word back from CBS as to my exit interview schedule, as I’ll be traveling during my normally scheduled time on Thursday…that means that the exit interviews and Podcast will come, but it may come later or earlier than the usual Thursday evening time-frame.  I did put out a new episode of the FilmSurvivor Podcast this week, featuring my interview with Dax Shepard and Michael Pena, stars of the upcoming “CHIPS” movie, which opens this coming weekend. Please check out the FilmSurvivor Podcast here, and then listen again for this week’s episode with the new Survivor Exit Interviews.

TELL US – WHO IS IN TROUBLE TONIGHT? WILL TROYZAN USE HIS IDOL? AND WILL ALL GOATS MAKE IT THROUGH THE END OF THIS EPISODE UNHARMED?
