It’s been a busy week for reality TV news. Kim Kardashian‘s much anticipated selfies book, Selfish, hit book stores this week. (When I say much anticipated, I really mean, get over yourself Kim) At the B&N book signing event, selfies were banned and anti-fur activists attacked. See what else you may have missed this week in photos, recaps, and reality news:
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their lives with us. And we would not have it any other way. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite snapshots and selfies from this week. Enjoy.
The reality TV viewer numbers are in and ready to be analyzed. Teen Mom OG saw its third increase in a row with 1.855 million tuning in this week. The mid-season finale of Dance Moms garnered 1.451 million viewers, bringing the season five average to 1.57 million viewers. For comparison’s sake, the season four finale attracted 1.619 million and the season average was 1.84 million.
Brandi asked Kristen if her co-stars have been supportive of her soon-to-be launched nail polish line, Pop. “Yes, some more than others, and you’ll have to see how the whole thing unfolds because it’s really interesting,” teased Kristen. “The people that you think will be these huge supporters end up not.”
Brandi said Kristen is more guarded this season. “I guess,” she said. “After a couple drinks, though, it all kind of goes away, and I definitely had some crazy verbiage this year.” This prompted Brandi to say she has cut back on her wine consumption. So, down from $1800 worth per month to, like, $1500?
Kim Kardashian‘s picture book, Selfish, hit book stores this week. And people actually went to Barnes & Noble in NYC on Tuesday to not only spend their money on the book of selfies but also to stand in line to meet the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. Maybe it is just me, but I can think of funner ways to spend an afternoon, like get a colonoscopy or go to the dentist.
But I digress. Unfortunately for Kim, not everyone who showed up was a fan. A bunch of anit-fur activists posed as fans to confront Kim about her fur coats, fur bikinis, and so on. When the first protester approached Kim for a signature, he shouted, “I just want to say that you’re the most disgusting human being on this planet! Shame on you for supporting the fur industry!” And then more fake fans in the crowd yelled “Murderer!” and “Shame on you!” repeatedly.
Following part one, Bravo asked Claudia if she was surprised by Porsha.
“Absolutely not,” shared Claudia. “She’s been quite stank all season. The last time I was surprised at her actions was when we met for lunch way back in the very beginning of the season, because up until a week prior, I thought we were cool enough. Not friends or besties … but cordial acquaintances. But when she kept doing little catty things, I saw what it was.”
