Next week is the semifinals of Dancing With The Stars, and one star who won’t be dancing isNiecy Nash, as the comedian and former ‘Reno 911’ star found herself eliminated from the dance competition.
In the bottom two with Niecy this week was NFL star Chad Ochocinco. Niecy’s elimination did not come as a big shocker as she did receive the lowest scores this week, a total of 43 for her two dances.
Niecy managed to keep her sense of humor despite being voted off. “I am a 40-year-old mother of three. I’ve got three C-sections under my belt and I… I was able to survive in this competition this long?… I’ve been able to be one of the last women standing in this competition. I’ve had such a fantastic time being able to live out my dream… I’m a happy girl,” said Niecy.
Niecy also had some nice words for her pro partner Louis van Amstel, “Thank you for molding this lump of clay into something,” she said.
Stars Nicole Scherzinger, Erin Andrews, Evan Lysacek and Chad Ochocinco remain in the competition. One more celebrity will be eliminated next week, with the remaining three making it on to the finals.
The five remaining stars on season 10 of Dancing With The Stars were described as the Perfectionist, the Football Hero, the Golden Boy, the Pussycat and the Jiggly One.
One thing that became very clear last night was that the ‘Pussycat’ is the one to beat this season. Nicole Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough were almost perfect last night. The dancing couple received a total score of 59 for their two dances, even receiving a perfect score of 30 for their 1950s-style paso doble.
Tying for second place are Olympic skater Evan Lysacek, and ESPN reporter Erin Andrews. Both stars received a total score of 53 for the night. While Nicole came in first place last night, stealing the show was Erin and her partner Maksim, for their very hot and aggressive Argentine tango, which included a flying leap by Erin off the stage and onto Maksim’s shoulders. “Hot!” declared Carrie Ann Inaba, and “Loved it!” added Len, who actually gave the duo a 10 score.
At the bottom of the pack this week are Niecy Nash and Chad Ochocinco. Niecy came in last place with a total score of 43, and not too far up is Chad with a total score of 45 for his two dances.
Tonight is elimination night, as we are just 2 weeks away from the finale. Only 3 couples will make it to the May 24th finale and its looking like Erin, Evan and Nicole will be the three.
Good news for the threetwo fans who missed Kate Gosselin’s dancing on Dancing With The Stars. The reality mom shares in her latest TLC blog that she will be returning to dance on the May 25th finale show.
“There better be one more dance left in me: Get ready for the DWTS finale on May 24, 25!!! I’ll be there,” wrote Kate, who was eliminated in week five of DWTS. “C’mon, I know you missed my unique dance style!” teased Kate.
And despite her mini-breakdowns and constant bickering with her partner, Tony Dovolani, Kate seems to have great memories of her time on the show. “I learned many valuable lessons and many things about myself,” she wrote. “I had the opportunity to meet an amazing group of people — many of whom I’ll remain friends with long beyond our days of dance. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything!”
In other DWTS news, Access Hollywood is reporting that professional dancer and country music singer Julianne Hough is set to return to the hit dancing show next season. Julianne, a two time winner of the show, one during Season 4 with Olympian Apolo Anton Ohno and the following season with Indy 500 champ Helio Castroneves, left two seasons ago to focus on her country music career.
Julianne has experienced some great success in her music career, even winning the best new artist award at last year’s Country Music Awards ceremony. She is also expected to release her second album toward the end of this year.
Also rounding up the bottom two with Erin was Pamela Anderson, who was eliminated from the show last night. “This has been one of the best experiences of my life and that says a lot,” laughed Pamela after hearing the elimination news.
Pam also showed gratitude to her Australian partner Damian Whitewood. “Damian’s amazing. I just want to thank him. I never knew that I could dance or I don’t really know if I can dance yet, but he just helped me so much,” she said. “I just want to thank you very much for doing this and I’m sure he’s going to be around a really long time with you guys.”
Moving on from Pam’s elimination. The big DWTS headline today is the trashy and despicable comments made by Elisabeth Hasselbeckon Tuesday’s episode of The View. Host Elisabeth, 32, criticized Erin Andrews, who has faced two separate stalking incidents in the past year, for dressing too sexy on DWTS.
Now there’s no harm in criticising Erin for the way she dresses on the show, but the harm came when Elisabeth decided to make light of Erin’s stalking incidents, almost putting some blame on her despite the fact that she was a victim. “In light of what happened and as a legal [matter] — and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room,” Elisabeth said. “I mean, in some way if I’m him, I’m like, ‘Man! I just could’ve waited 12 weeks and seen this — a little bit less — without the prison time!’”
This ofcourse led to outrage from both viewers and the cast of DWTS. The following comments were posted by some of the cast mmbers:
Maksim – “I’m the one designing @ErinAndrewsESPN’s dresses for the show, so I’ll just assume that @ehasselbeck is jealous…and stupid 4 her comments.“
Evan Lysacek – “So disappointed that anyone would attack @ErinAndrewsESPN after all she’s been through.”
Niecy Nash – “Elizabeth Hassleback’s comments about @ErinAndrewsESPN. Insensitive, in poor taste and remedial and foolish.
Must say Niecy Nash’s comment is spot on. To make matters worse, yesterday was Erin’s 32nd birthday. Erin, who says she cried after hearing Elisabeth’s comments had the following to say: “I think people can have opinions about the show, but my biggest complaint is she’s a woman and a mother and it was a mockery of something I’ve lived through this last year. … I felt like it was a slap in the face for victims of stalkers and victims of sexual predators.”
Elisabeth appeared on The View Wednesday morning and issued a tearful apology to Erin, saying she had also called her to apologize.
I have so much to say about this but I think Erin and Niecy said it best. It’s one thing for Elisabeth to criticize Erin for her outfits on the show, but to make light of her being stalked and victimized is so cruel, unnecessary and out of line.

There are six couples remaining on Dancing With The Stars and judging from last night’s show, any couple can be eliminated tonight as only 5 points seperates the first and last place couple.
The night began with Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the duo earned a score of 27 (their highest yet) for their well praised quickstep dance. Also receiving a 27 score was Pussycat doll Nicole Scherzinger and partner Derek Hough for their pure Waltz.
The highest score of the night and the first perfect score of the season went to Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek, who received a 30 for his flawless Argentine Tango. A big improvement for Evan who only scored a 21 last week.
The six couples then split into two groups, Team Madonna and Team Gaga, to compete in a cha cha dance off. The scores from the dance off would end up shaking up the scoreboard. Team Madonna, consisting of Evan, Erin and Niecy, received a score of 24 for their dance to Madonna’s Holiday, while Team Gaga, consisting of Pamela, Nicole, and Chad, received a higher score of 27 for dancing to Lady Gaga’s hit ‘Telephone.‘
This week can also be considered a birthday week on DWTS as Cheryl Burke celebrated her birthday yesterday, receiving over 10 gifts from her partner Chad Ochocinco. And Erin Andrews is also celebrating her 32nd birthday today. According to Erin, her birthday wish is to remain on the show ofcourse.
The Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin saga is never ending. Just weeks after attempting to get primary custody of his eight children, Jon has now decided to drop his custody and child support case against Kate.
According to TMZ, Jon and Kate are now getting along, with sources connected to the situation revealing that Jon never really believed Kate was an “absentee mom.” Jon and Kate are reportedly now trying to hash out a custody and child support agreement that is more up to date than the one currently in place. Basically Kate is now earning more money than Jon, who is required to fork over $22,000 a month in child support.
More surprising news than Jon & Kate getting along, is news that Jon has been offered a spot on the next season of Dancing With The Stars. Yes you read that right. This was reported on E! News Tuesday evening. However Jon has declined the offer citing that he doesn’t want to appear on TV wearing the crazy dancing outfits. But with news that the father of eight is going broke, there’s a good chance Jon might change his mind as Kate reportedly earned over $200,000 from doing the show.
Meanwhile, a Pennsylvania Judge has ordered the divorced couple to attend a 3-hour parenting class according to TMZ. The judge in their bitter custody case has ordered them to complete the parenting class titled “Children in the Middle,” which is said to be a requirement for all parents involved in a custody war in Berks County, PA.
And Kate revealed this week that she did not watch the latest episode of DWTS. The reason? Well apparently it is simply too difficult for the Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom who says, “I could not watch it. I’m too sad.” Kate continued, “I miss everybody. I have post-DWTS depression.”
Kate was also photographed showing off her toned and tan abs Wednesday, as she left the gym in Wyomissing, PA. A photo of that is below.

The 32 year-old Texan tried to choke back his tears as he gave his farewell speech. “I can’t put into words how much I’ve enjoyed this,” he said through tears. “I didn’t imagine how hard it would be to say goodbye.”
“I was so honored to be here. I enjoyed every second of this,” continued Jake. “Thank you for keeping me here for six episodes. I can’t even put it into words how much I enjoyed this.” And despite the reports of a rift between Jake and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, he thanked her last night and called her “one of my best friends,” in what he believed to be “the best season of Dancing With the Stars I’ve ever seen.”
It however seems the best part of the show came once the cameras were turned off. According to UsWeekly, Jake and his fiance Vienna Girardi, who was shown last night looking rather sad at her man’s elimination, reportedly really took things to heart.
The two reportedly looked absolutely miserable, depressed and inconsolable as they hugged and chatted when the cameras went off. Deena Katz, the head producer/casting director of the show, had to walk over to comfort Jake. Jake then took to his twitter after the show and posted the following, “Well guys, I did everything I could, layed it all out there on the dance floor. I’m pretty bumbed… 🙁“
And despite calling his partner Chelsie his best friend last night, the two immediately parted ways after cameras stopped rolling. Chelsie however reportedly got a “long” hug and “sweet kiss on the cheek” from her new beau Mark Ballas.
In other DWTS news, Kate Gosselin’s departure didn’t put a damper on the ratings as expected. Monday’s night’s show still averaged over 20 million viewers, meaning Kate’s reported impact in the ratings boost this season was well overestimated.
Six couples remain on the show with just four weeks of dancing left. The season finale is set to air May 25th.
The stars danced on Monday night to either the Argentine tango or the samba, concluding the night with a first ever three minute swing marathon. Coming in first place for the second week in a row was Nicole Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough. The duo received a score of 26 for their sizzling samba. A score of 10 for their swing marathon put them at the top of the leaderboard with a total of 36.
Coming in second place for the first time ever was ESPN reporter Erin Andrewsand partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who thankfully ended up shirtless by the end of a hot and sexy samba dance. “You nailed it!” applauded judge Carrie Ann. The dancing couple received their best score yet of the season, a 25. Coming in second place at the swing marathon contest gave them a total score of 34.
Surprisingly coming in 5th place this week was Evan Lysacek, who’s samba dance failed to impress the judges. Evan, who has been in the top two the entire season, received a score of 21 for what the judges called his “worst dance” yet. Coming in 5th place during the swing marathon put him at a total of 27.
In last place this week was the Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka, who received a score of 21 for his samba dance. Jake, who was the first eliminated in the swing competition, ended the night with a total score of 25. Another couple will be given the boot in the results show tonight.
