If you were hoping the Kardashians would fade into obscurity following a year of famewhore antics gone wrong, think again! They’re back and apparently as big as ever. According to the ratings, the Sunday night season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians hauled in an impressive number of viewers.

Nearly 3 million (yes, I said million, not hundred) people tuned in to catch a glimpse of Kimmie Kake‘s butt, Khloe Kardashian‘s paternity drama, and a Kanye West sighting. I personally watch for Bruce Jenner‘s mutated face. I keep hoping and hoping to see some semblance of normalcy return to the rubber mask that has eclipsed his head.

Most shocking, the ratings for KUWTK are up 16% since last season’s premiere. And surprisingly the show did really well in the coveted 18-49 year-old-demographic, with 1.5M women making up the viewership last Sunday according to The Hollywood Reporter. I thought you people were boycotting?!

Is Andy Cohen tired of his role as ring master of the circus? Is he over refereeing constant fights and drama amongst the ladies of Bravo?

Sources say Andy is tired of dealing with the Real Housewives of everywhere and no doubt our delightful ladies of New Jersey are what put him over the edge! According to the NY Daily News, Andy is over being judged by the company he keeps and he feels his association with the non-stop drama of the series that put his name on the map is ruining his credibility.

Apparently, this is not the show Andy started out developing and the antics have gotten too much for the budding talk show host who wishes to pursue his own face in the spotlight instead of promoting the trashy behavior of the ladies he made famous!

A source close to the Housewives franchise claims Andy “has been trying to distance himself from ‘Housewives’ because he wants to be taken seriously as a talk-show host” and because the low-class behavior of the ladies doesn’t fit in with his new A-List aspirations! “He wants to have his fancy celebrity friends, and the girls don’t fit.”

Those Real Housewives continue to deliver for Bravo. Bravo’s ratings last month were their best April ratings in the network’s history.

From the Bravo Press Release:

“The network averaged 916,000 total viewers, up 10 percent compared to April 2011, and delivered 549,000 adults 18-49. Maintaining its No. 1 position as the most affluent, educated and engaged audience in cable entertainment, Bravo ranked No. 11 in primetime among all cable entertainment networks in the adult 18-49 demo for the month.”

Oh dear… it seems semi-scripted reality television is becoming a totally scripted movie! Fox Searchlite has just acquired the rights to untitled pitch that very closely resembles the plot of Basketball Wives!

It seems master puppeteer executive producer Shaunie O’Neal is interested in spreading her wings into the movie making biz and has been working with famed writer-producer Tracey Edmonds to produce a film that draws “loosely from the lives of O’Neal and some of her friends.”

The idea centers aroung a young woman who follows her boyfriend to Miami after he is drafted into the NBA. “Thrust into the world of professional sports, she meets and learns from the sisterhood of players’ wives and learns from their trials and tribulations.” Gee – where have we heard that story before?

Everything seems to be coming up roses in Kim Zolciak‘s world. She’s married, she’s having a baby, and Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding wasn’t a complete flop – even if people only watched out of morbid curiosity.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kim’s new spin-off premiered to some pretty solid ratings. The two half-hour long series openers garnered about 1.55 million viewers! Not bad for a new show!

And since everything else is perfect in Kimlandia, it’s time to fix her fallen friendship with NeNe Leakes – which seems to be fragmented beyond repair. Much to my and Andy Cohen‘s chagrin.

Kim recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show where she confirmed – Real Housewives of Atlanta or no – she is not interested in rekindling things with The Neen. “She’s really changed, and she’s not funny to me anywhere,” Kim shared. “She used to be really funny.” Funnier when she was a moose or when she had a penis? Wendy agreed, saying NeNe has become “mean-spirited.”

So tonight is the second episode in the epic fourth season of Real Housewives of New Jersey. While the filming took place months ago, the ladies have still not recovered from slights, bruised egos, and cookbook insults. #OliveGardenGate2012. Let’s make this a thing on Twitter, people!

Apparently, all the drama,  which has been dangling like a sequined bikini in front of her Jersey-loving noses, has paid off big-time in the form of ratings. Last week’s RHONJ season premiere was the highest rated premiere in Bravo history with over 3 million viewers tuning into watch the ‘when you’re here you’re family fest.’ In fact, last Sunday was Bravo’s best-rated night in network history, according to TV By The Numbers, with the network ranking as the highest watched channel in the 18-49 age range. Wow!

I guess no matter how much complaining I do about the trashiness overtaking the shows, it’s not gonna change because people are watching—big time!

Proving that the drama will continue, the ladies of NJ took to their Bravo blogs to talk last Sunday’s episode and do what they do best—complain about each other! Gotta love public venting!
