The season of turnover continues. After Captain Kerry Titheradge fired Anthony Iracane, he put out an alert that his vessel needed a new chef. Bravo delivered, and in a preview for Below Deck Season 11, Episode 13, we get our first introduction to the new culinary expert, Chef Nick Tatlock. It’s out with the old, and in with the new.
New chef incoming
In the preview for Episode 13, you see the St. David crew welcome Chef Nick with open arms. All of their ears perk up as soon as he comes walking up to the boat. Nick seemed genuinely excited to join them. Then, in a confessional interview, he introduced himself to the audience at home.
“I’ve been a chef for 22 years. I think I lost my mind a long time ago,” Nick quipped. “Maybe, I talk to myself too much, I have a few little ticks and go a little bit loopy sometimes, but I’m harmless crazy. You know, I’m not about to murder anyone.”
At this point, we all expect a chef on Below Deck to be a little crazy, so it sounds like Nick is in the right place. Meanwhile, the yachties seemed more concerned about his age. When asked about first impressions, Sunny Marquis simply said, “Old, older.”
In a confessional, Nick said that he’s 40 and that yachting helps keep him “youthful.” Whether you want to call him old or well-seasoned, it seems like Nick is going to fit in just fine on the St. David. As long as he can read a preference sheet and get food on the table in a reasonable amount of time, then he should be good. Fingers crossed.
