We all heard about some of the Real Housewives of New York cast pushing for higher salaries last season. The moves didn’t work and as a result many of them were pushed into having smaller roles and believe it or not one of those people was Luann de Lesseps. You wouldn’t know it since most of the season focused on her controversial relationship with Tom D’Agostino and her discord with Bethenny Frankel.
Now, Luann is accusing Bethenny – and her camp – of spreading some nasty rumors about her, and the ladies are back at it with the push for higher salaries. Some things will never change when it comes to the Housewives.
Nick was already on three reality shows in the Bachelor franchise, so why not bring in someone from Bravo? Yes, it’s a super random idea, but it would probably bring some additional viewers to the series. The only real issue that I see is that Real Housewives of Orange County is a Bravo show which is a part of the NBC Universal family and The Bachelor airs on ABC, but that might be irrelevant since Lauri hasn’t been a full time Housewife in years. But anyway, let’s get back to the story here.
Why is that rough? Unfortunately for Jules, it is not as much as she originally requested. And there’s actually some more bad news for the Wainstein family, Michael and his lawyer alleged that he cannot afford the decided amount. Uh oh. It looks like the drama will never stop between these two.
I could not believe what I was watching. Even at home, my face turned beet red from the vicarious embarrassment so I can’t imagine how the people who were actually in the room felt. In a not-so-shocking turn of events, both Dorinda and Sonja made comments about that specific part of the reunion episode.
Last night’s Real Housewives Of New York reunion was dominated by one tantruming, feet-stomping toddler bellowing “I can say what I want!” No – I did not turn my three-year-old loose on Andy, but after witnessing the un-checked behavior of Bethenny Frankel, I’m certainly not comfortable letting anyone at Bravo babysit. OK, maybe Jules Wainstein, if she brings her “waiting on line” nanny and potty training expert.
Things begin with Luann de Lesseps calling Bethenny a “horrible person” for calling her boyfriend’s teenage daughter to “verify” she didn’t have an affair*, which resulted in Bethenny standing over Luann to scream “LieAnn” (nice twitter steal) in her face. Luann telling Bethenny she’s “evil” didn’t even cause Bethenny to flinch – despite what the previous depicted.
Andy starts off by asking Bethenny if there’s anything she didn’t get a chance to say to Luann at the reunion. “I think her despicable and tragic behavior speaks for itself.” She says that Luann came in with the hope of getting the “stench” off of herself and Bethenny feels like someone came after her with a 2×4. “I was crawling out of a hole that I don’t know why someone dumped me in. It was crazy.”
