Bret Michaels Engaged to Girlfriend Kristi Gibson!

A sad day for rock star groupies and skanks all around the world as Bret Michaels is officially off the market!

It all went down on Monday night’s finale of his VH1 reality show, Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, during which he got down on one knee and proposed to his on-off girlfriend of 16 years Kristi Gibson.

“Please say yes or the rejection will kill me right now,” pleaded Brett and she said yes! “She’s the one who put up with me all these years,” Michaels tells UsWeekly of his bride-to-be.

Immediately following the proposal, Bret and Kristi broke the happy news to their little girls. Bret said, “[I told them] ‘I did it! We’ll all be together forever! Family hug!’”

Bret and Kristi have two daughters together — Raine, 10, and Jorja, 5.

Bret Michaels Suffers a ‘Minor Setback,’ In Stable Condition

There’s finally some good news regarding Bret Michael’s health. According to his reps, Brett is responding well to tests and treatments.

“Michaels remains under 24-hour observation in the ICU and is in positive spirits. He is responding well to tests and treatments,” says his reps in a statement. “Even though today was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery.”

Bret is now beginning what some say will be a slow and painful recovery from a brain hemorrhage. The 47 year-old rocker and former Rock of Love star is however having to deal with a minor setback as he was diagnosed with a side effect that leads to seizures, according to his reps. Also complicating his recovery is the fact that Bret had an emergency appendectomy earlier this month, and also suffers from Type 1 diabetes.

Bret is however conscious and in critical but stable condition. There is also some speculation that Bret’s head injury is a result of the injury he suffered last year at the Tony Awards when from a prop struck him at the show. It is however possible the cause of Bret’s injury may never be found as is often the case with many patients with this condition.

Donald Trump, Bret’s boss on Celebrity Apprentice, sent Bret some well wishes over the weekend. “I am deeply saddened to hear about Bret Michaels and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time. He’s a great competitor and champion and I hope he will be fine,” said Donald to UsWeekly.

Bret Michaels In Critical Condition With Brain Hemorrhage, Taya Speaks Out

Former Rock of Love star, Bret Michaels, who is currently starring on this season’s Celebrity Apprentice is reported as being in critical condition after suffering a brain hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem).

According to PEOPLE, Bret, 47, was rushed to an undisclosed hospital Thursday night after complaining of excruciating headaches.  A source says, “After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation.”

And just how serious is Bret’s condition? Well according to TMZ, those not receiving proper medical treatment after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage have a 20% to 30% chance of experiencing a second bleed within the first month, and that second bleed yields a 70% mortality rate.

The good news for now is Bret is said to be “awake, in good spirits and talking.” Rock of Love season 2 winner Ambre Lake tells TMZ she’s spoken with people who are close to Bret who say he’s stabilized and conscious. However the next 24 to 48 hours are  said to be critical, and Bret will be closely monitored.

Also speaking out is ROL season 3 winner, Taya Parker.  Taya, who is no longer with Bret, spoke to RadarOnline, giving them the following statement: “It’s been a very difficult time.  Between his appendectomy and this current situation, everyone that cares for him has been vigilant with their prayers and hopes for a full recovery.  My heart and thoughts are with him always.  Bret’s determination and drive have always been one of his most endearing qualities.  His love for his family and his fans makes his heart a heart that’s larger than life.  Bret has overcome many adversities and struggles in his life, and he always handles himself with dignity.  I could not be more proud of him, the person he is, and the loves that drive his life.”

Megan Hauserman’s new show, Megan Wants A Millionaire, is set to premier tonight on VH1 at 9/8c. Megan, who is arguably one of the more infamous famous VH1 reality stars, is set on finding true love as long as there’s millions involved.

Megan recently spoke to the Jacksonville Observer about her new show and getting over Bret Michaels. Megan appeared on the 2nd season of Rock of Love.

“I really was heartbroken over him for a long time,” Megan admitted about Bret. “I went on there and I did fall in love with him, but we remain friends.”

And how did her new dating show come about? “It was something that I happened to say on Charm School – that I wanted to be a trophy wife,” Megan explained. “The next thing I knew, there were hundreds and thousands of men applying for the job. You have to be careful what you wish for, but it could be a lot worse.”

Update on Bret Michaels and Taya Parker Plus Bret’s Accident

A lot of VH1 fans are wondering if Bret Michaels is still with Rock of Love Bus winner – Taya Parker. Well the answer seems to depend on who you ask. Bret said in a recent interview with amNewYork that he is seeing Taya in a “fun way” and says he is still dating other women. The full quote is below -

‘It should be called Rock of Dating,’ he said at the Lipton Gift Lounge backstage at the Tony Awards…Michaels still sees recent winner Taya Parker, but only in a ‘fun’ way — and goes out with other ladies, too.

Bret also says he might be open to doing a 4th season of Rock of Love. Taya however says she and Bret are in a relationship and are both happy. She has herself listed as being in a relationship on her myspace. She also blogged about her relationship with Bret saying -

Bret and I are doing great! We have been taking a much needed break from the spotlight and cameras to get to know each other. We are having a blast! He’s adorable to cuddle and watch movies with… he just makes me laugh and laugh! You should see him watching “Role Models!” It’s honestly the most precious display of boyish behavior… I’m definitely soooo addicted to his smile! We will see each other again soon… I am counting down the days.

Interesting, something tells me Rock of Love 4 will be in the works soon.

People is also reporting that Bret’s tour bus suffered an accident recently, but fortunately no injuries were reported. Bret and his crew were “released from the scene” after an investigation.

Bret Michaels Hurt At The 63rd Annual Tony Awards

Rock of Love star, Bret Michaels may have suffered a fractured nose and a busted lip after injuring himself during an opening number at the 63rd annual Tony Awards which took place Sunday night, his rep announced Monday.

During the elaborate musical number that featured Dolly Parton, Elton John and Liza Minnelli, the reality star was knocked to the ground after running into a piece of scenery.  He had hit the stage to perform “Nothin’ But a Good Time” with his band Poison and the cast of Broadway’s Rock of Ages.

Bret informed Usmagazine before the accident, “I came here for one reason – to put on the show and then go party. I’m ready to go party and have a good time.” Following the accident, Michaels went to the hospitals to get his X-rays.

Despite the accident, his publicist says that Michaels had a blast performing at the awards.
