It seems MTV has run out of scripts as they are now announcing the upcoming season of The Hills will be the last.

The new and seventh season of the MTV reality show will debut April 27 with the airing of 12 episodes. “I think we’ve told the story of struggle and of finding yourself in L.A.,” creator Adam DiVello told Entertainment Weekly of the show.

Once upon a time, the Hills was MTV’s highest rated show, but has taken a recent hit in the past 2 years with low ratings. This past season brought a big decrease in ratings for MTV compared to the success and high ratings of their new hit – The Jersey Shore, which is currently filming its second season in Miami.

So what can we expect from the final season? It will kick off with Heidi Montag heading to Colorado to visit her parents, who see the results of her 10 plastic surgeries for the first time.

We can also expect to see Audrina Patridge dating singer Ryan Cabrera, and Kristin Cavallari dealing with rumors of drug abuse. “When Kristin was in Miami for the Super Bowl, there was definitely some late nights for her and some speculation that she might be partying a little too hard,” explains executive producer Liz Gateley. “So we’re definitely going to cover that part of Kristin. We’re pretty much covering everything you’ve read [about in the tabloids].” Also look for Stephanie Pratt to be dealing with sobriety, coming off her DUI last year.

When asked if the show’s biggest star, Lauren Conrad, would be returning to end this season, the show’s creator played coy, however promising a satisfying conclusion.

And unfortunately, despite the reports that Spencer Pratt was kicked off the show for 6 weeks for threatening a female producer, we can still expect to see him in most of the episodes, threatens promises DiVello.

Heidi Montag On Hills Set

Well that didn’t last long. The Hills media whore star Heidi Montag has fired her new psychic manager Aiden Chase, just a week after hiring him reports PEOPLE magazine.

“I have decided to part ways with Mr. Chase both as a manager and as a psychic and will scrutinize my business decisions more carefully in the future,” Heidi, 23, told PEOPLE. “I will now be managing my own career as a strong and independent woman.”

Heidi continues, “Unfortunately recent behavior by Mr. Chase on set of both Just Go With It starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman and [on] The Hills have made me question this decision.”

According to “sources,” Heidi was “horrified” when he showed up on set, “demanding a significant portion of her Hills money.”

The “source” Spencer Pratt also adds that when Chase, 40, was on the Hills’ set, he tried to ”move onto Audrina [Patridge],” whom he not only offered his healing/spiritual services but also asked to be her manager, the insider tells Us.

Chase however defends himself, saying, “Heidi invited me to the set of Just Go With It and the terms of our financial agreement are in line with standard manager/talent agreements,” he says. “I spoke with Audrina Patridge briefly when I was on the set of The Hills with Heidi recently, but never discussed being her manager.”

In other Heidi news, she recently filmed a scene for The Hills’ with some of her co-stars, photos of that below –

The Hills Audrina Patridge

Audrina Patridge has evidently had a change of heart, and has officially signed on to return to the next season of The Hills. The 24 year old announced back in August that she would be leaving the show to pursue her own reality show.

UsWeekly is now reporting Audrina has agreed to come back after weeks of negotiations.

“I can officially confirm that Audrina Patridge will appear in the 6th season of The Hills,” Jennifer Shoucair Weaver, a rep for Audrina reveals. “Production will resume shortly after the new year. Next week, Patridge begins filming the pilot episode of her currently unnamed spinoff show, also for MTV . The new show will be produced by Mark Burnett.”

According to a source, Audrina will be “getting six figures per episode. It is an incredibly lucrative deal.”

The City's Olivia, Whitney, Erin and Roxy

Great news for The Hills and The City fans as MTV has now renewed The Hills for season six and The City for season three.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new seasons of both shows will air sometime in 2010.  Production on The City’s 3rd season will begin this week while The Hills’ 6th season will go into production in early January.

The finales of both shows aired this week, and EW was able to chat The series’ respective stars, Kristin Cavallari and Whitney Port, about their decisions to continue with the shows. “I’ve had the best time—I really have,” says Kristin . “I feel like I have the best job! Why not?!” Kristin also says she’s no longer worried about being pegged as a reality TV star. “It’s like I’m in it now,” she admits. “I might as well keep going!”

The upcoming season of The City will focus much more on Whitney’s attempt to succeed with her own fashion line. “That’s my reality,” says Whitney. “It’s where this collection is going to be sold, who we’re going to put it on, what magazines it’s going to be on.” We’ll also get a peak into Port’s social life and friendships. “Just Roxy and I exploring the city together a little bit more and learning who we are.”

Audrina Patridge will not be returning to the Hills’ new season as she will now begin filming her own upcoming solo reality show for MTV.

kristin-cavallari-Tal-Cooperman

People magazine is reporting that Kristin Cavallari of The Hills has a new man in her life, and no it’s not Justin Bobby.

According to People, Kristin is now dating Tal Cooperman, who just happens to be another ex of fellow castmate, Audrina Patridge. Tal and Audrina dated last summer.

“It’s brand new. They’re having a lot of fun enjoying getting to know each other better,” says a source of Cavallari’s relationship with Tal. “It’s not for the show. They hit it off and have been hanging out off-camera.”

Kristin and Tal allegedly enjoyed a date night Thursday in Los Angeles, during which they were spotted sharing a sushi dinner at Nobu and kissing at West Hollywood hotspot Voyeur. “They were making out on one of the club’s VIP stages after midnight,” says a clubgoer. “They were all over each other.”

It’s probably best for the human race that these folks keep their stds germs amongst their circle, as they all seem to date the same people. I haven’t been watching the Hills that much this season, but I have become a fan of The City, which seems slightly less fake than the Hills.  That Olivia is quite the character, and definitely makes the show interesting.

TELL US: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE NEW SEASON OF THE HILLS AND THE CITY?

The sixth season of The Hills premiered last night with Kristin Cavallari raising hell on her fellow cast mates.

Kristin managed to rub practically everyone the wrong way. The biggest conflict came when Kristin faced off against Audrina Patridge, who accused her of going after her on-and-off fling Justin Bobby.

In a new interview with USWeekly, Kristin dishes on Audrina and what she thought of the sixth season’s premiere episode.  “I think that Audrina and Stephanie [Pratt] were very judgmental and just wrote me off right away without getting to know me,” Cavallari, 22, said on Tuesday at an event in West Hollywood.

Kristin however played coy on her reasons for going after Audrina’s ex, Justin Bobby, saying — “You’ll have to see it on the show” — revealing “the love triangle” gets “pretty dramatic” as the season progresses.

Something tells us Kristin went after Justin Bobby because the Hills’ script called for it.  Kristin also manages to get a swipe in against Audrina when asked about what she thought of Audrina’s appearance, “I’m not commenting on her plastic surgery,”  laughed Kristin.

It seems Kristin Cavallari has good reason for joining the cast The Hills. 90,000 ones to be exact as a new report reveals she earns a whooping $90,000 per episode!

Kristin’s $90,000 per episode is however $10,000 less than what her co-stars Audrina Patridge, 24, and Lauren “Lo” Bosworth, 22, earn, as each rakes in $100,000.

As for the rest of the cast, Heidi Montag, 23, nets $100,000 an episode, while her douchebag husband, Spencer Pratt, 26, gets $65,000 an episode. They are both however able to make up to $30,000 for personal appearances.  The article also states Heidi earned $375,000 for her recent Playboy September cover shoot, despite the fact that she didn’t take it all off.

Lauren Conrad, who is no longer on the show reportedly earned a whopping $125,000 per episode during her heyday. Her deal stipulated that no other star’s salary could match hers. Brody Jenner earns the least at $45,000 a show.

The same report states the stars of Bravo’s Real Housewives series receive a reported $30,000 a show, though some other reports claim it’s $100,000 per season.  The new season of the Hills premiers Tuesday, September 29th.

The Hills‘ sixth season has yet to premier but the drama is already spilling into “real life.”

E! News is reporting that Audrina Patridge canceled her MTV Video Music Awards because she didn’t like the producers’ idea of having her present with her Hills costar, Kristin Cavallari.

Audrina however denies this report, saying “They offered me a presenting spot and I declined.”

And what does Kristin think of her new promo proclaiming her devilishly laughing in front of a sign that proclaims, “The Bitch Is Back”?

“It’s fun to play the bad girl on TV,” Kristin says. “I think it’s really funny because anyone who knows me, my good friends, would never say I’m a man-eater, a boyfriend-stealer like they’re making me out to be.”

Kristin however admits she is not friends with Audrina, “We literally just don’t see each other,” she told US. “I don’t have a problem with her. If she has a problem with me, that’s a whole other story.”

Kristin— who made her reality show debut at age 16 on MTV’s Laguna Beach — also says it’s fun to be back in front of the cameras.

“It’s been such a great experience for me and brought me so many opportunities,” says Kristin. “I definitely have a personal life. I only film three days a week, so I don’t put my real friends on camera because it will ruin friendships.”
