DoesPatti Stanger have some serious dirt on a Bravo head-honcho? She must! Because despite seasons of middling ratings, absolutely zero successful matches, and scathing fan reactions The Millionaire Matchmaker has been renewed for a sixth season!
According to the Bravo write-up, this season will represent " a new chapter for Patti" who's had even more plastic surgery because she's now focused on finding love for herself. Let's see if Patti can put her own rules to work!
In addition to searching for love, Patti is also searching for her own past. "While not only finding love for herself, she also uncovers unforeseen information about her birth parents that makes her approach relationships in a whole new way."
So what can we expect on the all new season? Well the show will make its return to Los Angeles after the previous season was filmed in New York. Meanwhile Patti will have some extra help as she calls on celebrity pals Tori Spelling and Jenny McCarthy to provide expert advice for her hapless millionaires.
As always, Patti will spend each episode setting up two wealthy clients including a former NFL player and Million Dollar Listing’s hottieMadison Hildebrand. Returning alongside Patti this season are her Chief Operating Officer Destin Pfaff and VP of Matching Rachel Federoff.
We will also get to see a newly single and ready to mingle Patti try to find her own prince charming on the new season. If you recall, Patti ended her six year relationship with long term boyfriend/fiance Andy Friedman last August. Patti revealed she called things off because she wanted a kid and Andy didn’t.
The Millionaire Matchmaker earned its highest rated season of the series ever last year averaging 1.9 million total viewers per episode. Season five will premiere Thursday, August 15 on Bravo at 9/8c. The preview clip is below!
UPDATE – For some reason the preview clip below is not playing. You can view it on the Bravo site in the meantime.

TELL US – EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW SEASON? THOUGHTS ON THE PREVIEW?
She is baaack! Bravo has announced the all new fourth season of The Millionaire Matchmaker will return on October 19 at 9pm ET/PT.
Even better, in an attempt to capitalize on the success of the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, Albie Manzo, 24 and Chris Manzo, 21 will appear on the show this season, as Patti Stanger will attempt to fix them up. A source told the NYPost back in June that the boys were interested in “brunette, Italian-Catholic girls.” No word yet on if mama bear Caroline Manzo will make a special appearance.
The fourth season of the show marks the big move from Los Angeles to New York City. The always crude Patti mentioned in a previous interview that the toughest part of filming in NYC was “finding hot girls” in the city. Patti is also pulling out all the stops this season, as she will be introducing a few new tricks including a spy camera, lie detector test and hiring a make-up specialist from “Saturday Night Live.”
According to Bravo, we can expect the most over-the-top bachelors and bachelorettes yet, including a Wall Street to beach bum, Judith Regan – the queen of all media, and Freddie Mitchell – ex-wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Patti’s recent break-up with ex-fiance Andy Friedman will likely not be a topic this season, as the filming for the show had ended before it happened. Returning alongside Patti is Chief Operating Officer Destin Pfaff, and newly promoted Rachel Federoff, now the VP of Matching.
UPDATE - Thanks to our reader Valerie, it seems Chelsea Autumn is no longer on the show. According to Chelsea’s facebook page, she now works as the head matchmaker for a company called Queen of Hearts, Inc. Wonder what led to Chelsea’s departure…
Bravo held their 2010 Upfront Party at theSkylight Studio this week in NYC, and all of our favorite Housewives as well as other Bravolebrities were sure to be in attendance.
The upfront party is when Bravo announces what is to come during their next season of television.
OK magazine was there and was able to report some behind the scenes moments. Representing the Real Housewives of Orange County were Alexis Bellino, Lynne Curtin and Gretchen Rossi, who did not seem phased by their new competition – the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The OC ladies joked that they did hear the Beverly Hills Housewives all have their own private jets.
The Real Housewives of NYC’s Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer and Alex McCord hit the red carpet together during which Jill would not reveal whether or not she and Bethenny will reconcile, simply saying “watch the show.”
Kelly Bensimon also hit the red carpet with LuAnn De Lesseps, and when asked how she thinks Bethenny will be as a mom, she replied, “I can’t really speak to that. I’m sorry.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta were the only housewives franchise to all walk the red carpet together. The Atlanta ladies are reportedly getting along better these days.
Returning this season is the matchmaker herself Patti Stanger, along with Vice President of Matching, Chelsea Autumn and her Chief Operating Officer, Destin Pfaff. Also back is Destin’s fiancée, Rachel, as the first time parents head into season three.
This season will focus on Patti’s matchmaking of course but it will also showcase Patti’s recent engagement, as well as the return of some of Patti’s most memorable clients such as Shauna Raisch from season 2. Patti will also take on more gay clients this season.
More about the show’s 3rd season is below -
Bravo and Patti Stanger are back together and going strong for a third season of the hit docu-series The Millionaire Matchmaker, premiering Tuesday, January 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Stanger will stop at nothing to build her matchmaking empire – her business is flourishing, she has a successful book under her belt and is now hosting her own radio advice show. But after years of helping others find love, Stanger herself finally seals the deal. She and her longtime love, Andy Friedman, are engaged at last.
In the third season, Stanger once again takes on a selection of millionairesses and gay clients. Plus, millionaires past will come back to haunt Stanger, notably Shauna Raisch who caused a stir last season due to a very tense and uncomfortable exchange with the matchmaker. But Stanger remains unfazed by it all, whipping her millionaires into shape even with a full plate of her own as she makes plans for her upcoming nuptials.
Next to Big Brother, Millionaire Matchmaker is probably my 2nd favorite reality show. I love Patti’s honesty and abrasiveness. The clueless millionaires and sometimes desperate gold diggers women on the show makes it all the more entertaining.
