Despite scoring pretty well on Monday night and landing in the middle of the pack, it seems Elisabetta just didn’t have enough fan support to keep her on the show.
She found herself in the bottom three with David Arquette andChaz Bono though her score of 21 was actually better than the scores of 18 and 17 received by David and Chaz in that order.
And while the show kept Chaz in the bottom three before announcing his safety, host Tom Bergeron announced he was not really in the bottom three or at risk of going home. Perhaps Elisabetta was sent packing because viewers were a little turned off over what seemed to be an attitude by her towards her partner during Monday night’s rehearsals footage.
Elisabetta, 33, however took her elimination rather well. “For me, it was a gift every day staying here, really. It was a great adventure,” she said, thanking those who voted for her.
Her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, newbie and younger brother to Maksim Chmerkovskiy, was however a bit harder on himself. “I’m sorry. I wish I did better for you,” he told Elisabetta for not taking her further in the competition. “But I’m very lucky to be here, and I really appreciate the opportunity.”
Some are also wondering today whether the nasty tweets by the Kardashian sisters last week might have led to Elisabetta’s early demise on the show.
Dancing with the Stars returns next week on Monday night at 8/7c.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON ELISABETTA’S ELIMINATION? DID THE RIGHT STAR GO HOME?
After Rob and his partner Cheryl Burke were placed in the bottom three Tuesday night, an outraged Kourtney Tweeted: “There is NO way Rob Kardashian was trending worldwide last night and in the bottom 3. Impossible!” Kourtney, then demanded to know: “HOW IS ELISABETTA SAFE?!??! HOW?! Seriously!!!” And sister Khloe chimed in with “Agreed! So odd!”
Apparently Kourtney and Khloe believed Elisabetta should be in the bottom three instead of their younger brother, Rob, you know, because Rob’s 16 points score was much better from Elisabetta’s 15. Perhaps there is some merit to the rumors that Rob has been slacking off something major during dance practice!
When a fan Tweeted Khloe: “Rob did much better then Elisabetta Canalis, just my opinion…Shouldnt b in the bottom 3,” Khloe responded with: “Shows are rigged all the time.” Um… you mean reality TV isn’t 100% true all of the time; they never “manufacture” drama?!
Kim also got in on the action, Tweeting: “This just can’t be! Rob in the bottom 3! This is impossible! He did soooo good!!!!”
The Kardashians implored their fans (and surprisingly they have many) to vote for Rob and after it was announced that he was safe, Khloe suddenly started singing a different tune, Tweeting: “Honestly I didn’t think anyone of those people should have been in the bottom 3 🙁 sucks…..” Hopefully Rob will redeem himself next week so we are spared another bout of the Kardashian Mafia.
Sadly, for Elisabetta none of the Kardashians issued her an apology after they snarked on her dancing! Good thing as the HollywoodLife blog is reporting today that Elisabetta could care less about the harsh comments by the Kardashians!
“Elisabetta couldn’t care less about what the Kardashian sisters said about her. She is refusing to go down to their level. She is taking the show as a fun experience to build off of and get more opportunities in her career. She wants to have fun, not scandal and cattiness,” said a source.
The insider also goes on to diss Rob: “Rob is a bit of a diva, and he should know that he is on the show only because of his sisters, the producers are really only interested in having them in the audience for the potential ratings they bring to the show.” Ouch!
In other Dancing With The Stars news the list of Bravo reality stars desperate to dance is growing as Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s NeNe Leakes revealed she is itching to strap on her dancing shoes!
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, NeNe commented: “I think would be good on ‘Dancing with The Stars.’ If nothing else I would be entertaining. They wouldn’t take their eyes off me, girl!” She then jumped up and gave hostess Kit Hoover a demonstration of her dancing skills – which left much to be desired! One would think NeNe’s past as an exotic dancer would have given her a few more moves!
Are you shocked that Kourtney and Khloe would call out Elisabetta’s dancing on Twitter? Do you think they owe Elisabetta an apology for their comments? Would you watch NeNe on DWTS?
Above is the first glimpse of Chaz Bono, the first transgendered contestant on the show, in his dancing costume alongside partner Lacey Schwimmer. As we reported, the casting of Chaz, 42, has proven to be a rather controversial one for ABC with some fans voicing their disapproval.
In other DWTS news, TMZ is reporting today that Rob Kardashian has been slacking off when it comes to practicing his dance moves. Rob’s partner Cheryl Burke is reportedly “fed up” with him as he refuses to practice for more than 2 hours with her. Other contestants are putting in over 5 hours a day.
Cheryl now feels this shows Rob’s lack of interest in doing the show. And while he’s busy not practicing, Rob is reportedly bragging to his older sister Kimmie Kardashianthat he will top her DWTS performance by making it past week 3. Good luck with that one Robbie!
Dancing With The Stars returns to ABC on Sep. 19 at 8/7c.

Val is the younger brother of DWTS hotness Maksim Chmerkovskiy. And despite the speculation that we might be getting the first same-sex couple this season, openly gay style guru Carson Kressley is paired up with a female partner.
Returning this season is three-time champ Derek Hough after taking a break last season. Derek is paired up with Ricki Lake.

Meanwhile this season’s Kate GosselinNancy Grace, who is arguably the biggest casting surprise this year, is speaking out on doing the show.
In a new interview, Nancy reveals she thought she was dreaming when she got the call from DWTS. “I feel like Cinderella that got invited to the ball. I don’t know how to dance,” Nancy, 51, states. “I don’t know what I’m going to wear, but I know I have been invited.”
Nancy adds, “I want to have fun. Ever since my fiance was killed in ’79, my whole life has been about putting bad guys away, going to law school, making law review, trying cases, representing crime victims – and this is such a departure, to get to dress up in crazy outfits and dance. Are you kidding me?!” Nancy also states she is NOT counting on Casey Anthony’s vote!
The new season of DWTS premieres Sep. 19 on ABC.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE PAIRINGS? WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE TO WIN IT ALL?
Following weeks of speculation, ABC officially announced the 12 latest “stars” who will be vying for the mirror ball trophy. While reports stated the network was working hard this season to get A-list celebs, it appears they fell rather short of that goal. The biggest name on the list is arguably actor David Arquette.
Other big names include this season’s Kate GosselinNancy Grace, Cher’s transgendered son Chaz Bono, Ricki Lake, and soccer player Hope Solo.
The biggest surprise might be the addition of fashion guru Carson Kressley, who is mostly known for his role on Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The casting of Carson is quickly fueling speculation that DWTS might have its first same sex couple this season!
And unfortunately for Housewives fans, RHOBH star Kim Richards did not make the cut. It was reported days ago that Kim was on the short list to get added to the cast. Kim tweeted late yesterday, “Sadly I’m not on #DWTS this season! That would have been so fun, good luck to everyone on it! It will be an amazing journey:) goodnight all!”
The complete list of “stars” below:
