The shocker however is that the only housewife Bethenny is reported to be getting along with these days is her former nemesis, Kelly Bensimon. According to the report, Bethenny and Kelly made up during the summer.
Bethenny’s biggest feud is with her former BFF Jill Zarin. Her recent comments dissing Jill will certainly not help matters. The rift was more evident between the ex-besties last week during a dinner Jill hosted for 40 friends at Saks Fifth Avenue; Bethenny was the only “Housewife” who hadn’t been invited.
However, Jill isn’t the only NY housewife Bethenny is alienating herself from as she has been gradually cutting ties with Countess Luann De Lesseps, Alex McCord and Ramona Singer since news that she’d get her own show on Bravo broke during the summer.
The NYDailyNews goes on to report the the separation between Bethenny and her co-stars might be an intentional move by Bravo producers, who want her to stand alone in an attempt to pave the way for her own reality show.
I highly doubt this rift between Bethenny and the other housewives is intentional though. Perhaps they just got tired of Bethenny running her mouth and talking negatively about them behind their backs.
Life&Style magazine reports, “There were contract issues, but Aug. 31 was always the start date, with or without a contract,” says an insider.
Their insider also insists their salaries was not an issue, “The ladies wanted more money, and they’re getting it.” The insider continues, “Bravo was happy to up their pay since the show makes more money now. The Housewives just had an issue with some of the wording in the contract.”
According to Life&Style, Bethenny Frankel is still in talks with Bravo to get her own reality show, and might be leaving the NY Housewives after this season.
We also reported some nasty comments Bethenny recently made about castmate, Jill Zarin, so this 3rd season will definitely have some drama.
“I’m definitely going to do the Housewives this season,” Bethenny confirmed to PEOPLE this week. “It’s been great … I love it. I understand we start filming [season 3] in September.”
Bethenny of course could not resist a chance to take a shot at rival, Kelly Bensimon, when asked if Kelly could rehabilitate her image on the new season. “Good luck with that. Am I helping? No.” said Bethenny. Gotta love her pure honesty.
The biggest news of all is Bethenny finally denied being engaged. We reported last week that she referred to her supposed fiance, Jason Hoppy, as her boyfriend. When asked by People, she denied being engaged but reaffirmed that they do plan on getting married one day. “You don’t see any ring,” she said.
Still not sure if it’s a good idea to keep publicly talking about your plan to marry someone who has yet to propose. That didn’t seem to work too well for Kim Kardashian but whatever floats Bethenny’s boat.
Uma Thurman’s ex boyfriend and New York City hotelier, André Balazs, has found a new love interest. André whodated Uma Thurman on and off for about 4 years was spotted with Real Housewives of NYC’s star, Kelly Bensimon.
Both Kelly and André were seen at the opening of the lounge hot spot wall at W South Beach. The following night, the pair were found cuddling at Andre’s hotel, The Raleigh. Later in the evening, the pair were once again seen holding hands while dancing, laughing and sharing drinks at the VIP lounge.
According to sources,Andréwas worried when he saw Kelly appearing to flirt with former DWTS contestant Gilles Marini. He was however relieved when he found out that she was only conducting an interview for Plum TV.
The NYPost is reporting that Bethenny Frankel will be getting her own reality show on Bravo. The big shocker however is they are also reporting this means Bethenny will no longer be on The Real Housewives of New York City. Yikes! Will the show still be worth watching without her?
According to the Post, her show will be titled “Skinny & The City.” A source said, “The show will follow her planning her wedding to [fiancé] Jason Hoppy.” Her rep confirmed a while ago that the two would be getting married.
Life & Style also reports Frankel is penning a second book about “romance, money and friends” inspired by her feud a with co-star Kelly Bensimon. Bravo had “no comment.” A picture of Bethenny and Jason below -
As we reported earlier, Kelly has signed on for the 3rd season, but she is uncertain as to which other housewives will be returning. “I am coming back,” says Kelly. “But I actually don’t know who else is coming back. They don’t really tell me.”
Kelly is however uncertain is the new season will be able to match the drama of the other housewives’ franchises. “We start shooting in two weeks,” she said. “And it’s going to be interesting now because the bar is so high. When Gretchen [Rossi from The Real Housewives of Orange County] is getting a motorcycle at a party and Teresa [Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey] is throwing over the table, what’s going to happen?”
She goes on to talk about The New Jersey Housewives – When I met Danielle, she said, ‘Thank you so much for being supportive of me. She was just really excited and flattered that I supported her. Unless you do something wrong to me, I will give you a chance.”
And what about Caroline Manzo? She’s “the all-time mama bear,” Kelly said. “And actually, she was really sweet and really nice.”
Kelly has also gotten close with some of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, “I was going down to Atlanta to open a hotel, so I called NeNe [Leakes],” Bensimon said. “I took out NeNe and Lisa [Wu Hartwell] and we had so much fun. They’re crazy, fun and spirited. They’re awesome girls.”
In an interview with Radaronline, Jill insists that she will be returning even though she has yet to sign the contract. In addition, she confirmed Kelly Bensimon was one of the first housewives to sign the contract for season 3. However, she failed to confirm if other cast mates had signed their contracts.
Even though Bravo released a statement saying they are looking for new cast members, Jill insists all the cast mates will be returning. “The ink isn’t dry yet, but I can tell you that we’re all set on returning,” she said. “Bravo released a statement saying they were looking for new cast members and I think people read into that. I think the show was giving some of the original cast members a chance to deal with their personal lives.”
She also refutes rumors saying she was getting paid about $30,000 an episode, but nevertheless she says she is not involved in reality television because of the money.
