Kordell Stewart has written a new book, Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story, where he opens up about his tumultuous marriage to Porsha Williams, finally confronts controversies about his sexuality, and opens up about what divorcing Porsha has taught him.
On The Steve Harvey Show, Kordell reveals that he does not blame Real Housewives Of Atlanta for his marriage failing. Actually, he has “no regrets” about appearing on the show or how he was portrayed.
Guess what?! Far from Porsha being the demure church lady she played on her first season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the former NFL quarterback claims she was actually a mess when they met. But Kordell’s not here to throw shade…
“I didn’t ask for anything. Right now in the press it’s, 'Porsha didn’t get anything, poor Porsha,’ and people are feeling bad for me and feeling sorry for me because I didn’t get anything and they think that we went to trial and I lost,” Porsha explained to Bethenny Frankel on her talk show. “I didn’t go to trial, I chose not to go to court. So there was no judgment.”
Her public denial is a good thing because Teodoro's actual girlfriend hasn't been too thrilled with the gossip surrounding her beau and Porsha. The dictator's son has been seeing Castle star Tamala Jones. The actress even took to Twitter to vent her frustrations about the whole debacle, and now Porsha is trying to clear up things on her end as well!
According to sources at TMZ, Porsha has been getting frisky with wealthy African dictator's son, 42-year-old Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, whose father is the ruler of Equatorial Guinea. Does that mean she'll be moving out of the country?
Porsha will walk away with her engagement ring and her personal belongings and that's it! Kordell was kind enough to kick in and pay her attorney fees for the divorce (approximately $19K), but he keeps everything else – two houses, his retirement fund, vehicles, etc.
Speaking to The Grio, Porsha says her motto this season was be true to yourself. "That's exactly what I did – I just forgot about the cameras and lived life," she explains. "When you went through something and you feel like it happened because you weren't true to yourself, that's just what you do: you be true to yourself." If the way she's been acting is her "true self" she should not be bragging…
Porsha also admits the divorce and subsequent financial drama was very taxing and she totally fell apart. "A breakdown was happening back then, but I've reached the break through," she shares. "It was hard to watch some of the first episodes but as I see myself evolve I become stronger and stronger."
Porsha recently admitted that not only is she dating but she's found someone special. Of course the new man is not just some ordinary random, Porsha reveals that because he's "well known" she's keeping her name – and the relationship – under wraps for now!
“There’s someone that I think is very special. He’s kind of standing out of the pack right now, so we’ll see how that turns out,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star told Radar Online.
According to Kordell's attorney Porsha was threatening to stay a "Stewart" despite the divorce because her professional image was attached to the name, but she's now decided to take NeNe Leakes' advice and ditch the last name.
"Kordell was very concerned about the damage it could cause," TMZ reports, "however, she reconsidered and decided to restore her maiden name, Williams."
