Kelly Bensimon was able to take some time away from Kelly world to talk to People in a new interview about the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York.
As we reported earlier, Kelly has signed on for the 3rd season, but she is uncertain as to which other housewives will be returning. “I am coming back,” says Kelly. “But I actually don’t know who else is coming back. They don’t really tell me.”
Kelly is however uncertain is the new season will be able to match the drama of the other housewives’ franchises. “We start shooting in two weeks,” she said. “And it’s going to be interesting now because the bar is so high. When Gretchen [Rossi from The Real Housewives of Orange County] is getting a motorcycle at a party and Teresa [Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey] is throwing over the table, what’s going to happen?”
She goes on to talk about The New Jersey Housewives – When I met Danielle, she said, ‘Thank you so much for being supportive of me. She was just really excited and flattered that I supported her. Unless you do something wrong to me, I will give you a chance.”
And what about Caroline Manzo? She’s “the all-time mama bear,” Kelly said. “And actually, she was really sweet and really nice.”
Kelly has also gotten close with some of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, “I was going down to Atlanta to open a hotel, so I called NeNe [Leakes],” Bensimon said. “I took out NeNe and Lisa [Wu Hartwell] and we had so much fun. They’re crazy, fun and spirited. They’re awesome girls.”
