When Cynthia Bailey began her journey on Real Housewives of Atlanta, it was a big get for the show. Having one of the first successful Black models of our time appearing on the program certainly didn’t hurt the ensemble cast. Cynthia had a very close relationship with NeNe Leakes, which was tumultuous at best, but it managed to sustain several seasons of drama. Cynthia also had an interesting marriage with Peter Thomas. Mostly Peter grifted her money for failed bars and the marriage ultimately ended because no one thought it would last in the first place.
It’s probably safe to say Cynthia is a storyline drifter. She never seems to have a main focus for herself, but does participate in other people’s trials and tribulations. But sooner or later viewers will notice a lack of substance. She’s there, she’s involved, but boring won’t keep a peach. Cynthia’s second wedding is her current focus, but we’ve been here before. Recently, Cynthia appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and Wendy Williams implied Cynthia’s daughter Noelle Robinson came out on RHOA for Cynthia’s storyline. It definitely provoked a response, and Cynthia did not let Wendy get away with it. This is the Cynthia we’ve been waiting for.
2020 is not going to end without one final act of drama from former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, NeNe Leakes. After Bravo said buh-bye, she spent an unusual amount of time bashing the network that made her rich and famous. The very same platform that afforded NeNe the opportunity to step outside of the Bravo universe and into the Hollywood scene.
Somewhere along the way NeNe changed. She held the same ability to provide good shade, but she became demanding. Fighting with her co-stars was the norm. It seemed NeNe allowed the level of fame she achieved to go to her head. NeNe received approximately $2.85 million to “share her life” on RHOA, and yet she still complained. Bravo finally pulled the plug on NeNe’s antics and she launched a campaign to crucify the network amid claims of racism and being “forced out”. But if you thought NeNe had calmed down and taken a seat, you would be wrong. Now she’s calling on viewers to boycott the show – because she says so.
We just met Real Housewives of Atlanta newbie Drew Sidora on the show, and we already know a lot about her. Drew joined RHOA along with LaToya Ali after NeNe Leake’s departure. She is also close friends with Kandi Burruss.
Drew is an actress and has appeared on That’s So Raven and The Game. She also starred in a television movie titled CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. She has a fresh energy that is a welcome addition to the other Atlanta peaches.
Season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta is back, and better than ever. NeNe Leakes bid farewell to her peach after last season. The constant arguing between NeNe and Kenya Moore was too much to take.
RHOA viewers have seen Porsha Williams working on the front lines of the Black Lives Matter movement. She was arrested twice for protesting peacefully. Good for you, Porsha!
Season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta needed to be a season of change. Last season was toxic and kept recycling the same storylines. In September, “OG” NeNe Leakes announced that she was leaving the show. But, with NeNe being NeNe, even her RHOA exit was filled with frantic drama.
NeNe alleged that she was forced off the show. And when rumors surfaced that Bravo snatched away her peach, NeNe insisted that she walked away from an unfair offer. Sure, NeNe. Eva Marcille also departed the franchise.
This is set to be the most monumental season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. From the pandemic to the focus on Black Lives Matter, and of course StripperGate, it’s going to be SO JUICY. Our favorite peaches always deliver no matter what. Porsha Williams has ascended to her spot as the new Queen Of ATL with her protesting against police brutality. Who knew she had it in her? That’s what we call a personal glow up.
While some might find it boring, the emphasis on the personal storylines is the reset this show needed. Last season was toxic because of the feud between Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes. With the exit of the latter woman, we can finally recalibrate and have a great season again. Plus, these are the real issues going on in the world. It’s fascinating to be able to view them in this lens.
Rut-roh. We might need Shaggy and the Gang to come help solve a big mystery. A LOT will be happening on Real Housewives of Atlanta and the holidays are starting early. The ladies will be back to grace us with their presence on December 6, and it will be a season like no other. Moving on without NeNe Leakes, we will watch protests, pandemics, and… STRIPPERGATE.
Thanks to Cynthia Bailey and her escalando bachelorette party, RHOA fans will be seeing many body parts and trying to figure out who they belong to. Tanya Sam and Porsha Williams are the names most involved regarding who did what with a stripper. The gentleman in question denies anything happened, and so does Tanya. But the lady doth protest too much, methinks. If nothing happened and no fiancés were cheated on, it’s normal SOP to
lie, lie, and deny keep calm and carry on. It seems in this case, instead of carrying on, Tanya has carried herself off of the show.
NeNe Leakes is no longer a cast member on Real Housewives of Atlanta, but maybe someone should let her know. In September, she announced that she wouldn’t be part of RHOA Season 13 after some “emotional negotiations.” In other words, NeNe didn’t get the cash she felt she deserved.
It wasn’t a surprise when NeNe dipped out of the Season 12 RHOA virtual reunion. Then all hell broke loose. NeNe alleged that her former friend, talk show host Wendy Williams, uses cocaine. Then she accused Andy Cohen of being a racist. NeNe also claimed that Bravo forced her to exit the show.
