Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore took a hefty pay cut to twirl her way back on the show for Season 12. She was fired after Season 10 because she refused to make her private life with her husband, Marc Daly, available to the show. It is a reality show, right? So why would Kenya expect that she could avoid having her marriage documented on camera?
While Kenya made $1.5 million for Season 10 of RHOA, she is now making $500,000 for Season 12. It is alleged that Marc is having some financial issues, so he fits right in with the rest of the Housewives universe.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore was allegedly fired from the show after Season 10 for refusing to show aspects of her private life with her new husband, Marc Daly. Kenya being let go shouldn’t have come as a shock since Marc was allergic to television cameras. Or, at least the ones on RHOA.
But now, Kenya is filming for Season 12, even if it did cause NeNe Leakes to flip her wig. The returning diva is twirling back to the franchise and taking a major pay cut to do so. Kenya is making a paltry $500,000 for the season. She made $1.5 million for Season 10. Ouch!
Real Housewives of Orange County has been bringing the drama this season. We have watched Emily Simpson struggle to balance her job and children while her
little bitch husband, Shane Simpson, supposedly studied to take the bar exam. You know–the kind of studying you do locked away in a hotel for days with no communication with your family.
Then, Emily was swept up in newbie Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s first misstep as a Housewife. In this case, Braunwyn, the mom of seven, was caught in a lie. And in a tacky visor for the Shannon Beador bus trip.
There was no winner in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drama. It seems like Season 9 will haunt us forever. It is literally more frightening than Kyle Richards’ new movie. The biggest losers in this game are the fans.
At the risk of sounding theatrical (who, me?), Camille Grammer Meyer rose from the burning ashes of rubble left behind after Dorit Kemsley’s dog was unceremoniously dumped at a
kill shelter. She battled the major players, but saved a special spot in her heart for Dorit. No one was off-limits, not even LVP. When she took on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave at the finale party it was, dare I say, almost magical. So WHY isn’t Camille a full-time cast member next season? Kyle has denied it was her call that nixed Cammy, but guess who is pulling receipts? Now Real Housewives of Orange County star, Tamra Judge speaks up (why???), and Camille lets her have a dose of the 007.
Confession: I can sit through 1oo’s of hours of “unscripted television,” but I have never once made it through an awards show. Except maybe the MTV VMAs one year while I was in college. And even then, I only made it through because I was too hung over to move from the couch where my roommates were watching.
However, I do find the People’s Choice Awards fascinating. Because the awards are voted on by the viewers, it makes for some… interesting results. For example, last year’s nominees for “Drama Movie of the Year” included Red Sparrow and A Quiet Place – both legitimate movies with plots and acting and character development. Wanna know what movie won? “Fifty Shades Freed.” That’s right, we the viewers chose soft porn over a movie starring Academy Award-winning Jennifer Lawrence and one starring America’s favorite human, Jim Halpert. America’s voting habits make me nervous.
Last season on Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes managed to alienate all her co-stars. She chased Kandi Burruss and a pregnant Porsha Williams (and a cameraman) out of her closet. She may have ripped off Porsha’s belt.
NeNe fell out with long-time bestie Cynthia Bailey because Cynthia had the audacity to invite RHOA alum Kenya Moore to Cynthia’s bellini launch party. How dare Cynthia not run her guest list by NeNe! NeNe referred to pregnant Kenya as a “monster” when Kandi arrived with Kenya. Cynthia told NeNe that she didn’t know that Kenya was coming to the party.
Another day, another Housewives financial drama. Returning Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore’s husband, Marc Daly, apparently owes some back taxes. Seriously–is having financial woes a prerequisite to join a Housewives franchise?
While he may be allergic to reality television cameras, Marc must be thrilled that his wife has once again secured that coveted peach (and that RHOA paycheck.) So, what is going on with this outstanding tax bill?
Labor Day means a long weekend, which usually translates to some fun times with family and friends. Some of the Vanderpump Rules cast members headed down to Cabo to celebrate Lala Kent’s twenty-ninth birthday. Lala posted a photo in her birthday suit. Stassi Schroeder posed with a sombrero on. Katie Maloney showed off her assets for the camera as well.
Meanwhile, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright went out of the way to make sure that their social media followers knew that they missed their flights to Cabo just in case anyone wondered if they weren’t invited. And I can’t blame them given Jax’s other cast feuds.
