New Jersey lawmakers are the latest group to get on the anti Jersey Shore bandwagon.
The AP is reporting that the the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus, sent a letter to the president of Viacom, MTV’s parent company on Tuesday. Caucus chairman Joseph Vitale is asking that the show be immediately taken off the air.
The group believes the show promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes and is “wildly offensive.” The NJ lawmakers are also asking advertisers to boycott the show. As of Wednesday, MTV has yet to issue a response.
In other news, we reported previously that Italian actress Alyssa Milano was not a big fan on the show. In the hilarious Funny or Die clip below, the actress can be seeing portraying castmember Nicole aka Snooki, in a parody of the popular Dove beauty commercial. The clip is below –
Jersey Shore cast members Mike The Situation, Snooki, and DJ Paulie Dialogue also get in on the fun in their own parody video.
