Dancing With The Stars Recap: Brandy Dominates, Bristol Improves

It was rock week on Dancing With The Stars’ week 6, and all the stars had to dance the tango or the paso doble.

Coming out on top for the second week in a row was Brandy and her partner Maksim. The duo received a high score of 26 and praises from the judges for their hot tango dance. Carrie Ann called the dance”very impressive,” with Len Goodman calling their routine “the dance of the night.” Maksim’s former dance partner Erin Andrews was also present to cheer him on in the audience, and no, the two are not dating.

The surprise of the night was Bristol Palin, who showed major improvement from a week before while also earning her highest score of the season. Bristol and partner Mark Ballas danced their tango to Orianthi’s “According to You,” with Carrie Ann stating the routine was “ridiculously amazing.” Bruno Tonioli called it her “best performance” of the season. Bristol and Mark received a score of 23.

The lowest score of the night went to former NFL player Kurt Warner and his partner Anna Trebunskaya. Kurt seemed to fumble on his paso doble dance, earning him a low score of 18, all 6s from the judges. Following the competition, Kurt, 39, told UsWeekly he felt the judges were a bit harsh on him. “We come out and we perform what we thought was a good dance and then get scores that aren’t so good,” said Kurt.
