Kate Gosselin Gets Defensive – Says Kids Weren’t Expelled, Slams Jon

Kate Gosselin is making the press rounds today, giving new interviews to the Today Show and PEOPLE magazine. And no, she has nothing to promote.  She is simply wanting to set the record straight on some issues.

Issue #1 being that two of her kids were expelled from their private school in PA due to bad behavior.  Despite the report made by several media outlets, include the reputable PEOPLE magazine, Kate still denies her kids were expelled though she admits they “were having anger issues, acting out, having behavior things.”

“The school would never use that word,” Kate, 35, tells PEOPLE. “[Collin and Alexis] were not expelled. [The school] did not feel like they could meet their needs anymore, so it was decided they should leave, for now.” (Um isn’t that expulsion?)

Kate also tells PEOPLE the kids were acting out because they missed their dad Jon Gosselin. “They’ve been the ones to verbalize the most that they miss Daddy,” she says. “I could see that they’re the ones struggling the most.”

And it wouldn’t be a Kate Gosselin Today Show interview if she didn’t manage to take a shot at her ex-husband. When asked by host Meredith Vieira about a Tweet Jon sent last month, apologizing for his actions in 2009, Kate said she found his words to be insincere.

“I have never personally been apologized to,” she said showing frustration and adding that she doesn’t consider “an interview on TV or a tabloid” the appropriate venue to issue an apology.

While Kate claims to have forgiven Jon “for the sake of my kids,” she still wants us to know she is a victim.  “I am angry — I’m hurt and I’m angry,” she said of Jon’s past actions, adding she does not like to dwell on the past because she doesn’t “have time to waste being upset.”

When it comes to the status of her kids today, Kate tells PEOPLE Collin and Alexis are seeing a therapist and “doing much, much better.”  She adds, “I’ve kept the stability, the income – everything that they know and love – I’ve been the parent to come through on that.”
