Days after PEOPLE magazine reported Halle Berry was “upset” at the thought of Kim Kardashian being in her child’s life, the Chicago Sun Times is reporting Kim is not happy about her name being dragged into the brewing ugly custody battle.
If you recall, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star dated Halle’s ex Gabriel Aubry, 34, for a weeks back in November before the two quietly split in early December.
Fast forward to today and actress Halle and Gabriel are now locked in a bitter custody dispute over their 2-year-old daughter Nahla. Halle has thrown out accusations that Gabriel is an unfit father, while Gabriel has accused Halle of trying to keep him out of their daughter’s life.
And according to PEOPLE, Gabriel’s decision to date Kim, 30, did not sit well with Halle. “Halle was very upset,” says a source close to the actress. “She was upset at the idea of someone like that being in her daughter’s life. She did not want a reality star in Nahla’s life. She was very aggravated.”
Another source close to Halle, 44, claims jealousy was not her reason for being upset. “She just didn’t want Nahla exposed to the cameras that are undoubtedly around a reality star,” claims the source.
A source close to Gabriel however states Nahla was never around Kim or cameras. “Gabriel wanted to make sure he dated someone for six months before he introduced them to his daughter,” says the source. “There was never for a second a thought by Kim or Gabriel that Nahla would ever go near cameras.”
And now sources close to Kim tell the Chicago Sun-Times that Kim is “both amazed and extremely unhappy” that her name is getting dragged into the custody drama adding that Kim “only saw the little girl once or twice … She wouldn’t even recognize Nahla if she saw her somewhere without either Gabriel or Halle with her.”
A friend of Kim’s reveals she’s also particularly upset because Halle “has repeatedly snubbed her — both at red carpet and private social events in Hollywood.”
