Following their widely publicized bankruptcy, Teresa Giudice and husband Joe Giudice painted a picture of a hard working Joe running a pizza shop on the season premiere of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
However, a new report by UsWeekly magazine is painting a slightly different picture. An insider tells the latest issue of the mag that Joe, 41, is no longer working. The reason? He has already sold his Giuseppe’s Homestyle Pizzeria, where he’d worked since at least last October.
“He now has no job,” the source reveals of the former entrepreneur, who filed for bankruptcy with Teresa in October 2009, to the tune of $11 million in debt.
The source adds that Teresa, 39, is now the breadwinner of the family. “They’re living off her Housewives paychecks and even from her two cookbooks!” adds the source. In the Giudices’ defense, it could be that perhaps Joe is now looking to start a new business venture.
In fact, Teresa recently revealed in an interview that her and Joe are looking to get into the wine business. “We’re starting a new business with wines,” Teresa told the NY Daily News this week citing that Joe actually makes homemade wine. Teresa also stated a while back that she is hoping to get her own cooking show.
In other news, Teresa’s sis-in-law Melissa Gorga alongside her husband Joe Gorga appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning during which they discussed Teresa and Melissa’s singing.
When asked what led to the brother-sister feud, Joe reveals it all stems from competition. “What happened was competition. My daughter was born and she was competitive with the kids.” said Joe. “Me and my sister were cool. My problem was when my daughter was born. that was my biggest issue with my sister. She’ll say she doesn’t know what we’re talking about, but that was my issue.”
And what about the angry meltdown during the Christening? “It was a tough moment. I was holding in a lot of pain for a lot of years, and it happened. I was very embarrassed,” Joe explained.
Melissa adds, “I think that she was used to being the only Italian girl around. Because she had just her brother, they don’t have a lot of family.”
As for Melissa’s singing, she reveals she plans to release her first single in July before going on to assure us she can really sing. “You’re going to see it, not this coming episode, but the following episode, you’re going to see me sing a cappella next to a piano,” said Melissa. “So, there is no auto-tune going on, this is real voice. I’m working with producers that produce songs for Britney and Beyonce.” A picture of Melissa and Joey with Ryan is below!
