According to a new report, Teen Mom star Amber Portwood continues to be at risk for a relapse after two months in a California rehab facility where she received treatment for depression following a suicide attempt.
Sources close to Amber, 21, reveal since returning home to Indiana, the fragile single mother has run straight back into trouble aka the arms of her baby daddy Gary Shirley.
“I told her to take it slow with Gary and not jump into anything,” Amber’s brother, Shawn Portwood, tells In Touch Weekly. “But they’re back together.”
In Touch adds that while Amber was in recovery, Gary went wild. Often leaving their 2-year-old daughter Leah in the care of his mother, while he partied every night “He was always drinking and hooking up with other girls,” a pal reveals. “He says he loves Amber, but he really doesn’t act like it!”
Shawn however adds that despite getting back with Gary, Amber is trying to improve her life. “She has enrolled back in school and is taking control. She’s at peace,” Shawn says.
In other news, Amber’s fellow troubled teen mom Jenelle Evans received some good news days ago.
While she was found guilty of a misdemeanor charge for simple affray (fighting in public), the 19-year-old managed to escape jail as she was instead given a suspended sentence of 30 days, meaning she stays out of jail unless she violates probation within the next 12 months.
In addition to that, she’ll also have to pay a small fine of $100, attend anger management classes and do 24 hours of community service.
Following her court appearance on Friday, Jenelle kept it ever so classy by tweeting, “F— yes. !!!!! I WINNNNNNN ;).” This entire court case stemmed from a videotaped fight that occurred back in March during which Jenelle beat the crap out of her former friend Britany Truett.
