Emily Maynard & Jef Holm Confirm Their Break Up!

I'm embarrassed to admit I actually had hope for these two, but among cheating rumors and sexting allegations, it seems another Bachelorette couple has officially bitten the dust!

In a statement to People Magazine Emily Maynard and Jef Holm confirm they have broken up! Emily didn't want to be the girl engaged three times, but apparently she is! "I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways," Emily reveals. "It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision."

"As you know, at first I wasn't sure that I should even be The Bachelorette, but I am a hopeless romantic and I do believe in the show," Emily continues. "I have no regrets because I did find love and shared an incredible journey with a really special person – and you know what, we tried our best because the love between us was so real."

"I have nothing but respect and love for Jef and his family, but ultimately we are just at different points in our lives," Emily adds.

Jef recently relocated to Charlotte, NC to start a life with Emily and her daughter Ricki, but things seemed to spiral out of control for the seemingly lovely couple when Emily was accused of sexting Matt Leinart during a Holm family vacation. Shortly after that Jef's ex-girlfriend came forward to Us Weekly to allege the two had been in communication and recently met up at a St. Lake City, UT hotel.

"I've learned so much and I'm grateful for all of the support I've received. I'm excited and hopeful for the next chapter in my life with my daughter, Ricki. I do hope that you will respect our privacy and allow us the time we need to heal," Emily concludes.

RealitySteve reported last week the couple had broken up as Jef was on an extended west coast trip for People Water and Emily remained in Charlotte tweeting about self-help books. Soon both of them removed each other from their twitter and Facebook profile photos and stopped tweeting about each other obsessively. And all of the sudden Jef went from "Mr. Emily Maynard" to "single"

Also speaking out is Jef, who of course has nothing but nice things to say.

"Meeting Emily on The Bachelorette was an incredible experience, we've had quite the journey. I've never loved someone so much in my whole life, Emily is the best person and mom I have ever met. She opened up her world to me and I fell in love with her, [her daughter] Ricki, her family and the Hendricks," Jef shares.

"What we shared was completely genuine and real and it breaks my heart but we have decided to break up," Jef continues.

"Emily will always have a special place in my heart. I don't regret a single second I spent with her or Ricki. They both have been a huge part of my life. Who knows what tomorrow will bring but we are moving on to the next chapter of our lives."

"Emily and I are great friends and I hope we can continue to be friends forever. Everyone wants a salacious story to break, but the truth is we are just two people who fell in love and tried our hardest to make it work. I will always love her."

Well, I may be the only person who has the sads but I really believed these two were genuine and would live happily ever after. I was really pulling for them. It's unfortunate they couldn't work it out. Boo hoo.

Hopefully Jef will NOT return to TV as The Bachelor anytime soon and hopefully Emily will try to date a little closer to home.

Jef is currently in LA with his mom and sister while Emily has been in Charlotte with Ricki and staying out of the limelight.
