Boys don't cry, y'all.  That goes double for boys in hair bands.  Singer, Rock of Love star, and former Celebrity Apprentice winner Bret Michaels has had his fair share of heartache, whether its health issues, his love life, or his receding hairline (you're not fooling anyone with that bandana, buddy!).  Now, he's having to fight off some pretty serious and damaging rumors.

It appears that every rose truly does have its thorn, and if you're Bret that thorn is All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. If you believe the crazy gossip surrounding the new season of Donald Trump's boardroom bonanza, Bret wants to set the record straight:  he most certainly did NOT bawl like a baby when he was the first "celebrity" to hear the words, "You're fired!"

The New York Post reports that while Bret was beyond shocked to be eliminated in the first episode, he certainly didn't cry about it.  Bret shares,“I don’t remember having a bawling fit.  I remember saying ‘You guys f–ked me! I didn't cry on the show. I didn't cry in the boardroom.”

Bret calls his elimination a "scripted kill" for ratings as he was the only former winner who agreed to return.  He explains, "I went in to really fight and win money for my charity.  I just wasn’t let in on the joke. It made me furious. Absolutely I was upset. But crying like a baby was not part of it.”

Of course, Bret's statement is the opposite of what an insider is revealing.  A source close to the show says, “It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done. He couldn’t stop crying and even the producers were trying to comfort him. No one expected him to have a meltdown like that."

Citing that members of the show's staff told him it "wasn't good television" to see him do well a second time, Bret was unhappy that he postponed concerts and television gigs to return to the boardroom yet again.

After the awkward exchange, Bret says he met privately with his pal The Donald.  He tells the site, “We had a man to man talk. I was confused (by the firing) and we had a great conversation.  I think the show is a great show and I think Donald Trump is great."

Although he didn't win any money this go-round, Bret booked a concert when he returned home and donated all the proceeds from it to his charity Life Rocks Foundation.  How Unskinny Bop of him!
