Having a famous father that’s familiar with reality TV life has been a huge help to Raine Michaels. Not only did her father, Bret, previously sing lead vocals for Poison, but she’s also been on some well-known reality shows.
Rock of Love lasted for three seasons, with the premise being women competing to be Bret’s girlfriend. Bret also competed on Celebrity Apprentice twice, winning Season 9.
Audiences are learning more about Raine on the show Calabasas Confidential. She says that her dad gave her some very simple but sound advice before the start of that show.
Bret Michaels gave the reality TV advice we’ve heard 100 times before
It’s an overused cliché, but one Raine took to heart. On the Sirius XM show Stars, she revealed the words of wisdom Bret gave to her. “Be yourself,” is what Bret said, according to Raine. She adds that her dad also reminded her, “There are cameras around, so whatever you say and do, it’s always, it’s going to live on forever.”
Raine is one of the many family members of a celebrity taking part in the Netflix series. Despite being exposed to the rockstar life, she is remarkably controlled. Her bio describes her as someone who channels energy into planning everyone’s lives while obsessing over Pilates. Rather than following the music route, though, Raine has gone into the modelling and sports media world.
She goes on to say that her dad is watching the show while travelling around. According to Raine, he gets to watch it on an iPad, usually while on a plane. From what she describes, he seems very into the show.
Bret made headlines last week after deciding to back out of the Great American State Fair’s Freedom 250 event. He says the festivities backed by the President and former Celebrity Apprentice host Donald Trump weren’t going to be what it was originally billed as.
