Real Housewives Of Orange County Star Gretchen Rossi Reveals Her Bikini Body Secrets!

Hopefully Gretchen Rossi's baby-making plans won't interfere with her bikini body too much, because she works hard to maintain it!

The Real Housewives of Orange County star shares her hot body secrets and no surprise it involves junk food deprivation (laaaame!) and exercises (laaaamer!). Didn't Lydia McLaughlin accuse her of not eating?

Gretchen says her road to body acceptance and health has been difficult. “I’ve struggled in the past with having an eating disorder way back in the day in high school and going through yoyo dieting and trying every pill on the market," Gretchen confesses to RadarOnline. "But none of it worked [because] I wasn’t feeding my body or taking care of myself." Wasn't this Alexis' storyline already?

“Once I decided to get healthy and let all of that go out the door, it made such a huge difference,” Gretchen admits. “The second that I stopped putting pressure on myself is when I really started to see the weight come off and really started to see my body transform.” I wonder if Slave body snarks Gretchen like he does all the other RHOC ladies? #loser

Now she tries to approach her diet more realistically. “It truly is about moderation for me,” Gretchen explains. “My secret is I eat every 2-3 hours.”

“Even if I’m not hungry, I eat. I eat just little bits of everything and graze all day long," Gretchen says. “And what it comes down to is you have to mentally know what it is you’re putting into your body.”

Gretchen insists she really does indulge – slightly. On like 3 bites of cookie or a nut or two (not Slave's!). "If one night I have a gigantic pasta dinner, the next three or four nights, I’ll eat a little bit more clean,” Gretchen elaborates. “Or if I have a pizza, instead of eating five pieces, I’ll have two." 

“I love trail mix, cashews, chocolate covered raisons or chocolate covered fruit,” she says of her favorite snacks. “But again, it’s not having a whole serving of it. It’s about having two or three and putting it in your body and your body being fueled." Two or three chocolate covered raisins?! Cause I'm more in the two or three handfuls mixed with buttered popcorn club. 

Of course, Gretchen exercises too, but she isn't a member of CUT You To The Core Fitness! “I try to stay active doing something like riding my bike, going for a walk, taking the dogs to park,” Gretchen advises. She tries to get in 30 – 45 minutes of exercise per day. 

“I have this ongoing joke that when Slade comes down stairs and goes, ‘What are you doing?,’ I’m in the kitchen making dinner and doing my bicep curls.” Huh? Does she keep gym equipment in the fridge to stop her from eating that fourth chocolate covered raisin?

Gretchen's advice for getting in shape? “Take it in baby steps. Just like anything, you’re not going to just go climb Mt. Everest. You have to build your endurance and train to be at that level.”
