Phaedra Parks Releases A Statement As Her Husband, Apollo Nida, Reports To Prison

Phaedra & Apollo At Kim Zolciack's Wedding

Can we all just agree that Phaedra Parks’ life has got to be rough right now? Two young children, a busy(??) law career, the drama of filming the Real Housewives of Atlanta and that small little matter of her husband, Apollo Nida, heading to jail for the next eight years!

At this rate, I am just holding on tight and waiting for our favorite Southern Belle to absolutely lose it! Maybe we will get lucky and Kenya Moore will be the one to push her over the edge!

So far, Phaedra has remained mum on Apollo’s legal troubles and all the other drama in her life….until today.

Phaedra’s rep shared the following statement with us, as Apollo is set to report to prison to begin serving the better part of a decade on federal fraud charges.

Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests. This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

Phaedra and Apollo seemed to be thick as thieves (Ha!) since they joined the Real Housewives of Atlanta in season 3. At that time Phaedra had just stood by her man through a different prison sentence. But this time, I am not so sure that their marriage can handle it.

The couple have only been spotted filming for the new season, not out on the town on their own, or attending events. In fact, according to TMZ, Apollo Nida reportedly spent the last of his days partying and strip clubbing rather than with his family. No shocker there, because earlier this summer when asked if his marriage would survive his upcoming prison sentence he replied, “I doubt it. I mean, my wife didn’t even f**king show up for my sentencing. I’m still salty about that.”

I am going to go out on a limb and say Phaedra’s probably pretty salty about Apollo laundering almost $2 million!
