Judge Order Teresa And Joe Giudice To Keep Their Money Separate

And the hits just keep on coming for Teresa and Joe Giudice. After being sentenced to prison on multiple fraud charges — she got 15 months, he got 41 — now the judge has gone a step further and is insisting that the couple keep all of their finances separate from now on.  (updated below)

Which could spell trouble for Juicy Joe, because we can never quite pin down what he does for a living. Although the Real Housewives of New Jersey star told Andy Cohen during their sit-down that he “still has his rentals” and that he is getting back into the building business, we have also seen him open a couple of restaurants and yet he always seems to be at home. Hmmmm……..

OK, we all know that besides starring on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice is a best-selling cookbook author, plus she is paid for appearances. So the $400k that she was ordered to pay in restitution, should be easily paid off. After all, she reportedly raked in $300k for her one-on-one with Andy Cohen.  Andy now says that the amount was much less, reportedly.

Joe Giudice, on the other hand, only made $25k, which will not even make a dent in his $400k restitution. So by the judge ordering them to keep their money separate, this poses a big problem for Joe, not so much for Teresa. Makes me believe that the judge truly believes that Teresa was blind to the fraudulent activity of her husband, but she signed her name, which does not make her innocent.

Even Andy Cohen is still shocked at her lack of understanding, of the charges and even her plea bargain. “I was most surprised that Teresa didn’t understand the terms of her plea deal. And I was most surprised that they had gone back into court with all of these materials omitted. I don’t understand how their entire team let them go into the court with these omissions. It seems that from what the judge said, were specifically impactful to Teresa getting this time she’s going to be serving. That just blew me away. And that they also didn’t seem to understand it.”

Maybe a few months/years in prison will help Teresa and Joe Giudice understand….

Updated: We did misunderstand this info at first.  The judge ordered the couple to keep their business and personal finances separate, not keeping it separate from one another.
