Is There A New Real Housewives Of New Jersey-Style Show In The Works?!

Maybe the rumors are true and with Teresa Giudice in the slammer Bravo is tabling (see what I did there?!) Real Housewives Of New Jersey and focusing their efforts on a show about the “most glamorous housewives” in Jersey!

According to reports famed reality television casting agent Tami Brandel (who is behind casting many major network shows), is creating a new Jersey-based ‘Housewives’ show for a “major cable network.”

In a casting notice Tami announced she is seeking “affluent women, families and friends will be living ‘the good life’ in one of New Jersey’s most exclusive communities, reside in amazing homes and love the lavish lifestyle.” So, basically, what RHONJ is supposed to be?!

Additionally, Tami wants women with a natural and organic connection to each other. “We are ideally looking for groups interconnected by family, work and/or friendship.” So, basically, what RHONJ is supposed to be?! (And once was).

It seems as if Tami and her network are trying to cash in on the genesis that was RHONJ in the early seasons – you know the show that had us all on the edge of our seats with drama? Sadly, we have no idea where that show has gone.

As for why Tami has chosen New Jersey, she told Page Six, that its proximity to NYC makes it a win. Plus, of course, Jersey is known for it’s crazy and people watch Jersey shows expecting the shenanigans.“There are very colorful characters in New Jersey,” Tami explained. Adding, she is not seeking out any participants who we could expect to see on RHONJ or Jersey Shore

“We want amusing, classy ladies . . . if that exists in New Jersey,” Tami teased.

Well this could be interesting – a different side of the Garden State without the criminals, the spray-on hair and tans, the tacky, hideous ‘foreclosed homes’ and shady financial moves. Although I’m not sure I could even comprehend a different side of Jersey! I have quite reconciled myself with Jersey being relegated to Bump-its, Fist bumps, and bumping uglies in beer goggles. But, I’d definitely tune in.
