Sydney Holland, the very recent ex of Viacom and CBS mogul Sumner Redstone, apparently wants to reinvent herself by becoming a cast member on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Well – that’s one way to get out of your mega famous’ billionaire ex’s shadow! Move over Yolanda Foster there’s a new mega-accomplished gold digger in the 90210!
Sources say that Sydney officially pitched herself to Bravo producers by creating a “sizzle reel.” Oh dear… do we think Sydney’s reel featured her dining with Giggy at PUMP? Or possibly attended a Lyme IV drip with Yolanda? Or shopped Kaftans at Mumus By MeanieMcMessiniessToo? Or perhaps – oh, perhaps! – patting a puss in Erika Jayne‘s empowered panty chapel?!

So who is Sydney?
Sydney dated billionaire Sumner Redstone (and much MUCH older man – he’s 93, so take that Erika!) for 5 years, and they split last fall. Hilariously, Millionaire Matchmaker and Bravolebrity Patti Stanger set them up in 2010!!! Obviously it wasn’t on Patti’s millionaire-less reality show, but it goes to illustrate that her real business is legit!
While they were together Sydney, 44, used the millions Sumner donated to her to become something of a real estate mogul herself by buying and investing in several properties. More than that she became, according to sources, an “influential person” in his life and established herself as indispensable – his team even tried to convince her to be reinstated as his health care proxy after their split. However, earlier last month Variety reported that Sumner’s lawyers are planning to sue Sydney and other of Sumner’s exes on claims of elder abuse in an attempt to recover over $150 million in cash and gifts he handed over to the women.
Sumner and Sydney split when she was caught allegedly having an affair with an actor, by using a private jet to fly and back and forth to Arizona for trysts. That little black box on the plane… busting people every time!
I have to say – if this is true there is NO WAY Bravo will turn Sydney down on sheer A-List cred alone. The score would be beyond massive huge!
It’s not clear what connection – if any – Sydney may have to the existing cast, but The Hollywood Reporter says Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Erika, Yolanda, and Kyle Richards are all slated to return next season. Which means that Eileen Davidson and Kathryn Edwards are either out, or in the ‘maybe’ pile at this point.
Obviously Bravo hasn’t commented on the possibility of Sydney joining RHOBH. It’s clear, however, by the way this story has exploded in legit press (not tabloid savoire) that Sydney’s team is putting it out there to gauge reaction and further entice Bravo.
I cannot even imagine what Sydney’s tagline will be but oh lawdy I cannot wait! And yes, obviously, I am so into her being cast!
