Dance Moms Will Return For First New Season Since Abby Lee Miller Got Out Of Jail

Even though the show is called Dance Moms, it has always been and will always be about the dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller. She is the real star of the show. Sure, she’s training the young dancers to become stars in their own right, but she’s the reason the show is worth watching. Whether you love her or love to hate her.

She can be extremely entertaining and unbelievably frustrating with her antics. You never know what you’ll get with Abby. And that’s why that last season of Dance Moms didn’t really count. It was nice to see the longtime dancers try to make it on their own, but the show just wasn’t as good. It really fell flat. Some of the moms argued here and there, of course. It just was not on the same level as the seasons with Abby.

Thankfully, Abby is out of jail and back in the dance studio. Dance Moms will be back with brand new episodes June 4 on Lifetime according to an article from TV Insider. And no, she will not be back with the same mother/daughter duos that have been a part of the show for years.

She will be back with a younger team, which makes sense. These new girls and their moms need Abby more than she needs them; i.e. they are more likely to comply with whatever insults Abby throws their way. The more seasoned pairs are so done with Abby’s bull shit.

However, two dancers from her previous mini team Lilliana Ketchman and Elliana Walmsley will be back on the show, but none of the older girls. This makes sense since they were probably aging out of the dance competition scene anyway. Most of them are old enough to embark on professional dance careers. Or more realistically, they can sell hair vitamins and teeth whiteners on Instagram.

I, for one, am happy to have Abby and her sloppy hair curlers back on my TV screen. It’s been way too long since I’ve heard her ripping into an aspiring dancer. Now, I’m just wondering if Abby has changed any of her old ways. After all, it is 2019: the year to be offended by just about everything. Will Abby cross the line? Most likely and to be honest, I’m here for it.

TELL US- ARE YOU HAPPY THAT DANCE MOMS IS RETURNING FOR NEW EPISODES? WILL YOU MISS THE OLD DANCERS? OR IS IT A GOOD TIME TO HAVE SOME NEW GIRLS IN THE MIX?
