After two seasons of butting heads on The Real Housewives of Orange County, it doesn’t look like Emily Simpson is any closer to becoming bosom buddies with Shannon Beador any time soon.
The RHOC star recently spoke out about her fractious relationship with her cast mate and what she thinks it could take for her and Shannon to become friends.
In an interview on People TV’s Reality Check, Emily recapped the absolutely insane drama during the recent cast trip to Miraval Arizona Wellness Resort and Spa in Tuscon, Ariz.
After rehashing her confrontation with Shannon and Tamra Judge over not inviting them to see her dance in Las Vegas, co-host Dave Quinn asked Emily if she’d ever said anything negative about two-thirds of the Tres Amigas or if the nasty jabs were all one-sided. And the OC’s resident lawyer made it clear that she’s always been straightforward and honest about her frustrations with Shannon’s attitude towards her. Unlike, say, Tamra calling her “Shrek” behind her back and then denying it.

“I’ve always said that Shannon has never been kind to me. Ever,” Emily confessed during the sit-down. “In two years, she’s never reciprocated or asked me a question about myself or anything about me. So to have a conversation saying, ‘you’re not open, you’re not sharing information with us,’ it’s like, OK, you have me blocked on Instagram and you don’t ever talk to me. So…OK. I mean, it doesn’t make sense.”
The second-season Housewife takes the social media slight to heart. Emily explained that, while her relationship with Tamra does progress a bit throughout the season, she doesn’t see herself moving forward with Tammy’s Sue’s standoffish BFF as long as that very public wedge is in place.

“I mean as far as Shannon‘s concerned, I’m still blocked on Instagram,” she continued. “So I mean, I don’t know, that’s a start maybe: unblock me.”
