Reality Tea is proud to announce that we’re collaborating with our fellow Evolve Media LLC websites for #WeSayThanks. This is campaign to thank and raise money for essential workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
#WeSayThanks coincides with Police Week, Public Works Week, and National Medical Services Week. Additionally, we are grateful for all of the doctors, nurses, and medical staff for treating patients. We appreciate the delivery drivers who are on the road with increased demand. We’re thankful for the grocery store workers who go into work every day. We thank the parents who have become homeschool teachers. Truth be told, there are many people to thank during this time. It is inspiring and empowering to see how many different people have united to do so much good when the world truly needs it.
As always, we are thankful to our readers who make the time to read our site, share our articles, and comment with their insightful opinions. Now, we are hoping that our Reality Tea community along with the readers from other Evolve Media LLC websites can unite in our efforts of gratitude.
“What started as a simple idea and suggestion from just one single Evolve editor, has evolved into a massive show of support to all of the bravo and dedicated essential workers on the frontlines battling COVID-19 or keeping us all safe and sustained in some way, Anthony Severino, VP of Operations & Development, Evolve Media LLC.
Senior Marketing Director Dana Ramirez explained why the color purple was selected for this initiative saying, “It best represents all of the colors of the uniforms combined of our essential workers.”
We have also created a limited-edition T-shirt, with the promise to donate $5 from each sale to charities that support our essential workers and their families during this difficult time.
We understand that the pandemic has affected everyone in some way or another. Charity should be about contributing what you are comfortable with and able to do. It is completely understood that not all of our readers are in the market for a philanthropic t-shirt. That is completely OK! Whether or not you purchase a shirt, we would love it if you joined our initiative by telling us who you are thankful for in the comments section of this article or on Twitter with the hashtag #WeSayThanks. A simple “thanks” goes a long way.
A grassroots social campaign will include posts from our editors and employees demonstrating grand gestures of “thanks” and more!
#WeSayThanks, now TELL US- WHO ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR DURING THIS TIME?
