90 Day Fiance Recap: The Devil’s Work

In last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance , some couples seem even farther apart from their goal of getting married. We learned many of these individuals are even more delusional than we originally thought. The truly entertaining part is that they are finally realizing it. I love it when reality sets in! Can these couples make things work or will they decide they are better off alone?

Mike and Natalie try therapy. Tarik and Hazel worry about her son. Stephanie upsets Ryan with her psychic’s prediction.  Andrew has another master plan. Rebecca is jealous when Zied gets female attention. Let’s get straight to the recap!

Mike, 35 (Sequim, WA), and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)

90 Day Fiance Recap: The Devil’s Work

Natalie is halfway through her 90 days and is no closer to a wedding, than she was when she first arrived. Every time she brings up the wedding, he avoids the subject. Frustrated, Natalie suggests that they speak to a therapist to work through their issues. Unfortunately, Mike thinks that they don’t need a third party to work through their communication issues. I beg to differ!  Someone needs to step in and help these two.

While getting a haircut, Mike admits that he isn’t ready to get married. Even the hairstylist is confused as to why Natalie has a K1 Visa, if he doesn’t intend to go through with things. But she does manage to encourage him to give therapy a try.

Once they arrive at counseling, Mike makes it clear in more ways than one that he doesn’t want to be there. But since he is, he doesn’t mince words. Much to Natalie’s dismay, he reveals that he doesn’t believe they are still in love. Well, I don’t think anyone is shocked by this revelation, but Natalie.

Jovi, 29 (New Orleans, LA), and Yara, 25 (Ukraine)

90 Day Fiance Recap: The Devil’s Work

Jovi and Yara head to his parent’s house for their engagement party. This is the first time she will be meeting Jovi’s father and it isn’t off to a good start. He immediately tells her that her clothing choices can be dangerous, while alone in the city.  Of course, she doesn’t care to hear his advice. Yara then shocks her soon to be in laws when she admits she isn’t sure if she wants to stay in the United States.

Jovi’s parents express concern about his pending marriage to Yara. They are extremely worried that she will push their son to move, after they get married. But Jovi just dismisses her comments as being uncomfortable in a new environment. Later when Jovi and his father meet his friends for a crawfish boil, they take bets on how long his marriage will last.

On the way to the engagement party, Yara argues the entire way. She doesn’t feel like Jovi is being sensitive to her needs while pregnant. She also wants to tell his family the situation, but he would prefer to wait until she is further along.

Tarik, 46 (Virginia Beach, VA), and Hazel, 28 (Philippines)

90 Day Fiance Recap: The Devil’s Work

Hazel and Tarik’s 90 days are half way over. But they are finding creative ways to entertain themselves in the house during the lockdown. Hazel is extremely worried about her son Harrey, who is still in the Philippines. She recently found out that he has a fever and she is left feeling helpless. When Hazel is finally able to get in touch with him, she is relieved to find out that he is feeling better. Although there is a language barrier, Tariq tries his best to be helpful and supportive.

Stephanie, 52 (Grand Rapids, MI), and Ryan, 27 (Belize)

90 Day Fiance Recap: The Devil’s Work

After revealing that she slept with Ryan’s cousin, these two are trying their best to move forward. His family on the other hand, isn’t as forgiving. In the past, Stephanie threatened to ask Ryan’s mother to return money she had given because she didn’t think she was grateful. In turn, Mama Ryan blocked her, instead. Although Stephanie has been generous, Ryan doesn’t want to feel like his fiancé is trying to control him and his family. Well he may want to stop dating her now; she is quick to throw the money she has spent in his face. I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

At dinner, Stephanie shares the reading she received from her psychic about Ryan. I don’t think she needs a crystal ball to tell her that this guy probably will leave her for a younger woman in the future. Ryan tries to reassure her that he is happy and doesn’t want any children. But their bliss doesn’t last long. Something happens that causes Ryan to storm from the hotel. Sigh! I guess we are going to have to wait until next week’s 90 Day Fiance episode  to find out what happened. Does it really matter at this point? These two seem doomed!

Rebecca, 49 (Woodstock, GA), and Zied, 27 (Tunisia)

90 Day Fiance Recap: The Devil’s Work

Zied is trying to adjust to life in America without his friends and family. In an effort to get him to have some fun, Rebecca gifts him a fake tattoo sleeve. Although he humors her, Zied chooses to keep his temporary ink hidden due to his religion. Later, Zied and Rebecca meet with her family and some of their friends for dinner.

When a pretty, younger girl starts chatting up Zied a little too much, the claws come out. Rebecca practically goes off on the girl for offering a truck to help them move. Even Rebecca’s daughter thinks her mother was overreacting and being insecure in that moment. If I am being honest, the girl did seem a little too focused on Zied. But she learned very quickly that Rebecca wasn’t taking any chances with her man.
