THE BACHELORETTE - “1710” – It’s the conclusion of Katie Thurston’s turbulent journey on “The Bachelorette.” Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams join a studio audience as they watch the final moments unravel. Defeated and on the bathroom floor after a devastating breakup, can Katie pick herself back up and continue with the two remaining men she is also falling in love with? Later in “After the Final Rose,” Kaitlyn and Tayshia are joined onstage by Katie and her final three as they try to make sense of what happened in New Mexico, including a tense confrontation with Greg about his sudden departure. Did Katie leave with the love she was looking for, or did she go home alone? The season finale of “The Bachelorette” airs MONDAY, AUG. 9 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston Explains Why She Didn’t Give Blake A Head’s Up About Dating John Hersey

Bachelor Nation is messy. That’s why we love it. Several couples from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette called it quits this year. Clare Crawley and Dale Moss parted ways not so amicably, Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark broke off their engagement, and Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes ended their engagement as well. In all, it’s been a year of failed relationships for Bachelor people.

In case you missed it, Katie and Blake broke up in late October. A few weeks later, she leaked in an Instagram story titled “12 Days of Messy” that she was dating John Hersey. I can’t for the life of me remember him because a lot happened and John was eliminated week 2. Because of the timeline, Blake believes there was “emotional cheating” on Katie’s part. Now Katie is trying to explain herself.

People reports that Katie and John are trying to address “the controversy surrounding their relationship and the criticism over their decision to go Instagram official” the way they did. “On Friday,” Katie posted a new video to Instagram with John that was titled “12 Days of Oops.” Do people think this is cute?

Katie explained in the video that there was “a lot of hate that came with [the original Instagram story],” and that “people” told her “well, you should’ve told Blake.” Katie says that she and John actually did talk “about giving Blake a heads up.”

They didn’t do it, though. “…Here’s the thing that people forget: We’re just normal people trying to live normal lives. And when have you ever had to tell an ex that you’re seeing someone new?” She has a point there. But she’s also a TV personality from a show that revolved around her getting engaged. So, Katie’s words fall flat here.

“I wanted to really show that to me John is my world. John is handsome. John is romantic. John is everything and I wanted to make a really big, grand gesture to show that,”Katie continued. However, if she “could go back time and not do the ’12 Days of Messy,’ I would not, to be honest… It wasn’t worth it.”

Katie ends the video saying, “All I know is in the moment I was and am still the happiest I’ve been and I wanted to make a big, grand statement about where I’m at and who I’m with. And that’s all I can do – is live my truth, live my happiness and people who wanna be there and support us great, if you don’t, that’s fine too.” Or she really likes attention, because I’m pretty sure Katie talked about being the happiest she’s ever been while walking off the set of The Bachelorette with Blake!
