Dorit Kemsley Addresses Her Social Media Absence Following Armed Robbery

There were a lot of shocking moments in The Real Housewives world in 2021. We saw arrests, legal scandals, and cast shakeups that kept us buzzing day in and day out. However, the news about Dorit Kemsley being robbed at gunpoint in her home has got to be one of the scariest stories of the year. Her kids were sleeping, and Paul “PK” Kemsley was out of town at the time. It’s hard to imagine how terrifying it must have been for Dorit to come face-to-face with those armed burglars. The robbery happened right as season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was winding down and season 12 production was getting ready to kick off.

After surviving the ordeal, Dorit started to slow down her social media activity, with posting coming to a complete halt in December. Instagram has felt a little less fabulous these past few weeks without Dorit. Even just a month away from social media feels like a year when you’re the resident fashionista of RHOBH. But thankfully, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Dorit has returned to Instagram, and maybe that’s a sign that there is hope for 2022 after all.

Dorit reemerged on Instagram this week to wish her buddy Kyle Richards a happy birthday. She shared a few selfies and videos commemorating their friendship along with a caption that read, “Coming back to insta (after a much needed break) to wish my beautiful friend @kylerichards18 a very happy birthday! I love you so much Kyle and I have the best time with you!”

She continued to gush over Kyle, writing, “I love how we laugh until we need to pee, can talk about anything, support one another, bond over the love our families and the love of Hermès(and all things designer), and I love that our hubbies are besties too. May all of your wishes come true today and always. Love you!’

Say what you want about The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills cast, but it’s always refreshing to see cast members who actually like each other on and off the show. Unfortunately, not every city has those genuine connections.

In the Instagram caption, Dorit elaborated on her absence from social media and promised to come back soon. So, prepare yourselves. She wrote, “I’ll be back to posting soon, I promise. I just needed some time away to focus on family and myself and all things important to me; and it’s been very helpful and healthy for me. Love you all (well most of you, the nice ones anyway!) lol!!!”

We hope Dorit is doing well and using this time to heal from what was surely a traumatic experience for her family. In the meantime, while we wait for Dorit’s triumphant return to regular Instagramming, you can keep up with the Kemsleys over on PK’s Instagram. Obviously, his feed isn’t nearly as glamorous as Dorit’s, but he shares a lot of pictures and videos of their adorable family, along with a few memes sprinkled throughout.
