Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Star Jen Shah Releases ‘Not Guilty’ & ‘Free Jen Shah’ Merch

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Jen Shah has put an entrepreneurial spin on her recent legal troubles, with new merch bearing the not so subtle phrase: “NOT GUILTY”. Whether you see it as a foolish move or audacious capitalistic spirit, the reality star is certainly sending a message, and it’s a clear proclamation of innocence.

ENews reports Jen announced the new ‘Shah Squad’ merch on her Instagram March 8. In collaboration with apparel company Revel P Customs, some of the items cheekily reference the reality stars legal woes. One can’t help but sympathize with the housewife’s legal team right about now.

The reality star has pleaded not guilty and is currently awaiting trial for federal fraud and money laundering charges.  Recently the show saw her and her husband, Sharrieff Shah discussing their financial concerns with the impending legal battle. It’s no surprise then, that Jen is doing all she can to capitalize on this moment, and make some gains to counter those potentially mounting legal bills.

One shirt has a drawing of the fashion look the Housewife famously served while leaving Utah District Court. On the back of the shirt is “NOT GUILTY” and the hashtag “#FREEJENSHAH”. Other merch items include “Shah Squad” messaging and a “Shahmazing” satin baseball jacket. The prices of the garments are reasonable, ranging from $25 to $120. Other options include pride themed “Shahmazing” gear.

Fellow RHOSLC housewife Meredith Marks commented a pink heart emoji at the time of the post, showing support for her castmate. Jen responded with a kissing and heart emoji. This comes on the heels of a rocky season for the two with Meredith initially upset over Jen’s homophobic tweets about her son Brooks Marks and Jen at one point questioning if Meredith had something to do with her arrest.

Some of the comments were not as supportive. One user account posted, “GIVE THE PROFITS TO YOUR VICTIMS!” Jen responded, “I did not do any of the things I’ve been falsely accused of. I’m innocent and look forward to my day in court so you and everyone else that has decided to judge me without any evidence, proof or facts can see the truth and my innocence. I pray you or anyone you love never go through anything like this.”

Who can forget the fateful day, federal authorities showed up on camera to the beauty lab parking lot looking for Jen. The reality star was arrested that day in connection with an extension investigation into an alleged nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. Her assistant and right-hand man, Stuart Smith, pled not guilty at the time, but has since changed his plea to guilty as of Nov 2021.

Legally, Jen has made some interesting moves as well. The charges are no joke, with the housewife facing potentially up to 70 years in prison.  She recently attempted to have them dropped on the basis that an ABC documentary that aired about the scam violated her right to a fair trial. The federal judge denied the request. Unfortunately for Jen, it’s back to the drawing board, and we look forward to seeing what her defence comes up with next.
