While Margaret Josephs is past her days of feuding with Danielle Staub and throwing her ex-husband in the pool on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, she has a new enemy in town. This season, Jennifer Aydin and the Marge have been going at it, throwing low-blows back and forth at each other. Jennifer is a ride-or-die to Teresa Giudice, while Margaret tries to hold Tre accountable. The two have never really gotten along, but this season is a whole new level.
And apparently, Jennifer Aydin isn’t the only Jen that Marge has some opinions about. On a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Marge gave her feelings about the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. And particularly, what she thinks about Jen Shah’s recent arrest for her alleged involvement in a telemarketing scheme that targetted the elderly. She and her assistant Stuart Smith are facing federal fraud and money laundering charges, which hold a 30-year maximum prison sentence.
When Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah was arrested on March 30, 2021, it came out of nowhere. Jen is facing federal charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. It is alleged that Jen and her assistant, Stuart Smith, were part of a long-running telemarketing scam. Jen plead not guilty to the charges, as did Stuart.
The newest Housewives franchise was filming Season 2, and it was reported that the RHOSLC cast was in a van on the way to a cast trip. Bravo cameras were rolling when Jen suddenly had to leave. She was supposedly tipped off that she was about to be arrested. Jen told the group that her husband was hospitalized. She asked her aunt to pick her up, and then Jen was arrested on the side of the road.
Jen Shah showed her true colors throughout the first season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. We know she’s prone to temper tantrums, insulting her so-called friends and refusing to take responsibility for her actions.
Fans have been undoubtedly excited for the upcoming Season 2 of RHOSLC after an explosive debut. However, the anticipation reached an entirely new level when Jen was arrested for her alleged involvement in a long-running telemarketing scheme. She and her No. 1 assistant Stuart Smith are facing federal money laundering and fraud charges, which hold a maximum 30-year sentence in prison. Jen’s managed to have all of the marital problems, legal issues and explosive outbursts that it’s taken Teresa Giudice 11 seasons to master.
If you thought Jen Shah was grasping for straws during the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion after her bad behavior was exposed during the first season, she’s on a whole new level since her recent indictment. Jen is being charged for federal fraud and money laundering in connection with a long-running telemarketing scheme alongside her assistant Stuart Smith. Jen has insisted she’s innocent both in and out of the courtroom and is acting pretty tone-deaf about the situation. She’s posting #FreeJen on her Instagram story, continuing with her glam appointments and bashing her fellow castmates any way she can.
Some audio recently leaked of Jen referring to herself as the only minority in the cast, claiming that Mary Cosby “doesn’t count” because she “thinks she’s white.” Now, even more audio shows Jen accusing all of her RHOSLC co-stars of racism.
The first season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City gave us beautiful scenery and a lot of people’s first look into the Mormon community. We had an eclectic group of women experiencing marital issues, the heartbreak of drug addiction, and, well, marrying your step-grandfather. We were also introduced to Jen Shah. Jen was loud, polarizing, and now currently under indictment for wire fraud and money laundering.
Last week, Jen found herself in handcuffs with her assistant Stuart Smith. After years of allegedly scamming people in a telemarketing scheme, the Feds finally caught up to Jen and Stu. Instead of going on a cast trip to Vail, she took a field trip to the courthouse. No word on whether or not Jen used her one phone call to check and see if your Nana wanted to renew her car’s extended warranty. As Jen awaits her fate, she has taken to social media to proclaim her innocence. Apparently, Jen’s attorney has not advised her to stay off of Instagram – but he should.
Here we go, everybody! Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah had her virtual moment in court. Jen was indicted on Tuesday on federal charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in an alleged long-running telemarketing scam. Stuart Smith, necklace lover and Jen’s loyal assistant
in crime, was also cuffed for his part in the scheme. Bravo cameras were rolling when federal agents made the move to place Jen in custody, so there is little doubt this will play out on RHOSLC’s second season.
Jen was scheduled virtually appear before Judge Sidney Stein for an arraignment on March 31, but an overloaded call (translation: Bravo fans) bumped the meeting to today. This morning Jen showed up to face the music in full Gucci. When asked how she pleads to her suspected crimes, Jen was all, “Guilty? I don’t know her…”
