Shannon Beador is not having a good year. The latest season of Real Housewives of Orange County (sweet sixteen!) was not kind to her. Heather Dubrow’s return immediately reignited a feud between the two that has spanned for years. Taking down the Beadors turned into taking down the Dubrows.
After Heather turned on her, Shannon quickly found herself on Gina Kirschenheiter’s bad side. Gina accused Shannon of being jealous of her newfound success in life. Shannon thought Gina was getting too big for her britches. The ladies picked sides and Shannon found herself stuck with newbie Noella Bergener. Who everyone hates anyway. All in all, this was not Shannon’s year. Even if she did get a microdose to get her through.
But Shannon has bigger things to worry about at the moment. As reported by Heavy, she recently revealed that she had to have skin cancer cut out. She posted a pic of her bandaged shoulder on Instagram to announce the news. Shannon wrote, “Just had skin cancer cut out. I had a scab that never healed. Make sure to get regular skin checks! Also want to thank everyone for their love and support with Archie’s skin issues. He is a little better. Will post the details tomorrow!”
So far, only Noella from the RHOC cast liked or commented on her post. Bones Jones, who most recently flubbed Shannon’s reunion look, showed his support by commenting, “Glad you’re all better.” He added a bunch of blue hearts. I’m so glad these two are still cool after the dress incident. I really loved watching their newfound friendship on Project Runway.
Other fans flooded her comments, one thanking her for the reminder to get checked. One said, “Thank you for the reminder! I’ve been on the beach since I could walk… time for a mole-over!” Another added, “Oh gosh Shannon so powerful to share this with a message to get checked! I was just thinking about Archie and hoping you or John [Janssen] would update us!!”
As for the pending Archie update, Shannon also revealed on her Instagram a few weeks ago that her beloved dog was having his own health issues. She wrote in part, “Archie has not been doing well for the last few months. Right now we are combining western and holistic medicine in hopes that something will work. Please say a little prayer for Archie. We are beside ourselves in the Beador home.”
Here’s hoping both Shannon and Archie feel better soon.
